"No, you're so smart, very intelligent, practically Einstein!"

Will hummed along with the music flooding her beloved Mustang from the radio, her fingers drumming the steering wheel as she maneuvered through the busy school parking lot. Catching sight of her sister's iconic truck, she pulled into the spot next to her, only to see Bella staring absentmindedly through the window.

Will sighed and got out, slamming her door shut and knocking on Bella's window. "You ever gonna get out?"

Bella slapped a sad excuse for a smile on her face and rolled the window down. "I'm just waiting until the bell, I don't want to have to stand in the cold."

Will looked at her sister knowingly. The truck doesn't have heat, it's probably the same temperature in there as it is outside. "Well, if you're sure. I was going to meet Jess if you wanted to come."

"No, it's fine." Bella shrugged. "See you at lunch?"

Will nodded. "Yeah, see you at lunch."

She walked over to Jess, who was waiting in front of the school. "Morning," Will said, handing the girl a muffin in exchange for a thermos of coffee that Jessica had made that morning. Will nodded at Mike with a barely polite look on her face.

Jess took a bite of the muffin and smiled, and the two started walking away from him. "You're my favorite."

"Good, I should be." Will smirked.

"You have a shift tonight?"

Will shook her head happily. She had quit her job at the cafe and was now working at the grocery store with Jess and Eric Yorkie. The work was less stressful now that she didn't have to memorize complicated drink orders, she just had to ring customers up and restock. It also gave her a lot more time to gossip with Jess, and surprisingly, Yorkie, who knew a lot from his connections in the school paper.

"Nah, I'm off for the next three days, I'm thinking of heading up to the rez."

"To look for mystery man?" Jess perked up.

Will snorted. "No, I haven't thought of him in weeks. I'm visiting Jake and his dweeb friends; it's been a couple of weeks."

Jessica leaned against the locker next to Will's. "So you won't be interested to hear what I found out about Paul?"

Will stopped what she was doing and looked at the girl. "Wait, what?"

The brunette smirked and inspected her nails. "Well, I was ringing up some little boy the other day... the Clearwater kid, ya know? I asked a couple pointed questions."

Will gaped at her best friend. "You. Did. Not."

"Oh, but I did."

"You didn't mention me, did you?"
