House of Franklin, Milan
"Welcome, gentleman, to the House of Franklin. It's nice to meet you, Delancey and Adam."
Frankie stretched out his hand and the lads shook it - Feeling the energy and life behind the grip.
"Just call me DJ. It sounds a lot better." Delancey said.
Frankie winked at him.
"I'll keep that in mind.
Frankie was 6"4 precisely with wavy orange hair and olive skin. His eyes were black-brown; friendly as he welcomed the two men into his home.
"Now, let me give you guys a quick tour," he said. "Unless you two gentlemen want to explore your rooms first..."
With those words alone, a mischievous grin appeared on DJ's face.
"Yeah, we'll definitely like to see our rooms." DJ said, trying to hide his excitement.
Frankie led them to the elevator and whilst they did so, a few employees walked past them, giving Frankie hello's and hi's. One of them who was an Asian man with brown hair walked up to Frankie and tried starting a conversation:
"Frankie, we need to talk about our arrangement."
"Yes we will Randy but not now," he replied. "I need to attend to my guests first."
"Can't someone else do that?" Randy said, almost pleading. "I mean I can get Dom right now-"
Frankie gave him a look.
"Forget about it."
Randy walked off looking pissed.
The elevator was a dark gold box with enough room to spare. Seven buttons labelled G, D, L, B, R, A and an SOS signal decorated the panel.
"What do those buttons mean?" DJ asked. "Like I know that G obviously means the ground floor but what about the rest?"
"The buttons show what each floor represents." Frankie said.
Adam was slightly disappointed as DJ bet him to the question.
"What you'll notice about my home is that it's not just my home but my office..." Frankie continued. "Some people say you can't combine work and pleasure but I disagree. My work is my pleasure."
He pointed at the 'D' button.
"This button is the Design Floor. This is where all the designing takes place from the sewing of the different garments to conceptualisation of different collections. I'm sure that you, DJ, will be in here a lot filming for the documentary...The next button is the Learning Floor. When I was making Franklin, I didn't want the company to be one where workers come and go without getting a truly memorable experience. That's why we have the Learning Floor. We take our employees through courses on Embroidery, Digital Marketing, Fashion Trends and more-"
He then continued to explain what the other floors meant. 'B' represented the Business Floor which was responsible for handling the marketing, branding, and the legality behind the company. 'R' represented the Relaxation Floor which had a spa, gym and a swanky restaurant.
"And finally, 'A' is the Accommodation Floor. Before this mansion, Franklin had a small office and I can remember that my staff would sometimes stay overnight. But the problem was that the office wasn't great for sleeping or providing your basic needs. So that's why I integrated the accommodation floor - So that if anyone needs to work overtime they don't have to worry about their sleep or how they'll cope the next morning."
