It's a Sunday morning and coffee scent fills my nose as I splash water on my face. "Aurora! coffee and breakfast is ready!" Kira calls from the other side of the bathroom's door in Nour's new apartment. "Coming!" I yell back as I dry my face after brushing my teeth. I brush my locks and gather them into a messy hairstyle above my head then leave the bathroom and head outside.

It's my fourth week in my home country; a month passed in a blur with me staying here in my best friend's apartment. I came back to find Nour taking her first steps towards her dream with moving out and settling in a new apartment to focus on herself and her job as well. Kira too has been focusing on herself and achieving her dreams. She wanted to move in with Nour, but they found a perfect deal when Kira's annoying neighbor left the building Kira and her family are living at so, Nour decided to settle in the apartment right above Kira's place. Technically now they're living together and I've never been glad.

I on the other side am enjoying my break so much. It's like I pulled the plug from my brain and decided to soak up all the peace and familiarity away from the stress. When I set foot back in my country, I found them waiting for me at the airport with my little brother. He also, is doing well with his studies and thankfully no other fiascos happened at home after I left. So, I'm staying here with Nour as Kira goes back and forth between staying with us and staying with her family as well.

"I'll never get enough of this coffee really. Literal dopamine rush." I say almost moaning in the cup. Nour giggles as she sits on the couch facing the one I'm sitting on with her legs tucked under her as her hair is falling against her shoulders. She takes her cup from Kira who was handing us our coffee with her hair in a bun atop her head then settles on the ground crossing her legs in a way that says she's going to discuss something important.

"Out with it." Nour says glancing her way as she sips from her cup, Kira opens her mouth then closes it as she looks at me. I raise my brows at her waiting, "Can we go out tonight?" she asks, "We were out yesterday, love." I tell her narrowing my eyes. Her shoulders slump as she finally says, "Okay, I met someone and I want you guys to meet him. He needs to be approved." She says holding a smile as Nour snickers from the couch when Kira throws a pillow at her as she raises her cup so it doesn't get spilled all over her.

Kira looks at me waiting for my comment, but I just shrug saying "Fine, babe. As you wish." Kira grins as she lifts herself up to wrap her arms around my waist. "When did you accept the concept of dating, Aurora." Nour says from the couch wiggling her brows. Well, me and Nour always had this psychic link between us; we feel stuff going on inside each other's heads. I think it's because of our similarities, but we never really looked for the reasons, we just interlink as the wizards we are.

I shrug again, "I mean, why not? If she's happy then so be it." I say trying to sound nonchalant. "Yes, Aurorae. You always have been against the concept of men in general." Kira asks looking at me expectantly. "I mean- my phone rings interrupting or saving me. I look at the caller ID and a smile makes its way through my face. "Who is it?" Nour asks narrowing her eyes, "the concept- fuck, a friend of mine. I'll be back." I rush as I lunge from the couch and exit the apartment heading for the garden at the bottom level.

I pick up and the rich voice of the man living in my head rent free fills my ears, "Morning, dove."

My heart does a little flip at hearing his voice, "Good morning, mi amor." I walk outside the glass door and into the garden feeling the sun on my skin, "Well, I was just exiting my car when something caught my eye." He muses as I sense the smile in his voice and I purse my lips understanding what he's talking about. "Mhmm, what did you find?" I ask innocently. "A tube of lip gloss" he pauses for a moment then continues, "Cherry flavor, which by complete coincidence is the color you always wear. Care to explain, dove?"

I giggle then exclaim, "What I left you a memory!" I hear shuffling followed by his grunt as he goes on, "so, tell me from scale 1 to 10; how weird it'd be if I decided to apply it to get the full experience of the 'memory'" he quotes as I chuckle, "Depends, to be honest. Will you wear it at home?" he hums in response and I go on, "then, fine only if you send me a pic." I hear shuffling again followed by, "Alright then, can I apply it for you when you get back, though?" he asks and I find myself smiling, "Of course." He continues, "then smear it again."

This earns him a laugh, "You're strictly following the rule of smear a woman's lipstick not her mascara." He laughs too joining me, "Yes, break her bed not heart as well." I let my jaw hang open then mutter under my breath, "Pervert."

I hear shuffling for the tenth time, "Omer, what are you doing?" the shuffling stops, "Jerking off." He responds and I roll my eyes at his old joke. "Gross." I say making a disgusted sound as he chuckles, "I'm laying down, dove. The day came to an end and I'm trying to get an hour of sleep."

I furrow my brows, "Omer, we have to do something about your insomnia." He's still suffering from it, while mine comes and goes, but I realized when I monitored my sleeping schedule that when he's around I sleep better. The same goes for him when I'm around too. "It'll be better when you come back, my love" he says softly and I smile at that.

"I've missed you, Omer." I say quietly.

"I missed you too, dove. Another month and five days left then you'll be by my side again." He sighs after a pause, "Should I let you sleep?" I ask as I stroll through the street. "No, stay with me. What are you doing?" he asks and I fill him in with what I'll be doing and the plans for tonight.

I talk with him for a while and we discuss the book we're reading together as a sort of bonding like old times. After a while, he finally sleeps as I hear his breaths even out through the phone. I don't decline immediately to listen to his breathing for a while. I've always liked to hear the sound of him breathing, it calms my insides and it feels like he's telling the world; 'yes, I'm here and I didn't fall.'

"Hope you sleep well, Omer." I murmur before hanging up.
