I take a deep breath smoothing a hand above the ruffles of my dress.

White.

He made me wear a white dress. He bought it for me, even chose the design. It's a pearly white dress that exposes my thighs and has ruffles at the side. Even my shoes, he got me a pair of white designer stilettos. My hair as well, he wanted me to let it down and I straightened it to show its length.

Omer prepared everything for today, this event he is the host.

To announce the new manager and new name.

Which both is me.

I'm still processing everything that happened since he told me that I'll be the new CEO the past two weeks.

A CEO, I am to be a manager and I never dreamt of working here in the first place. This is not expected at all, but I am going for it. I deserve it.

It's my turn.

I hear applause come from outside, I know Omer now went to the stage behind the podium. I am behind the door still outside the avenue.

I hear him clear in my ear piece we both share hidden under our hair,

"I think all of the managers and employees heard about my decision to make some changes concerning my foundation. According to the name and leading group. NV Valley has been the name of my firm for almost twenty years now, but it's about time to be changed. "He pauses and I take another deep breath then he continues, "Concerning the leadership, the London branch will have a new manager instead of me. This branch will be my main spot whenever I'm here. And this event is for the honors of the new manager of my company."

He pauses lowering his voice so I can only hear him," are you ready, my love? "

I nod," I am. "

"Today you are not a dove, you are a Phoenix that flies alone burning her own bridges. Head high, my love. Do what I didn't get to do." He speaks.

He then raises his voice speaking in the mic again, "I, Omer Mughrabi, announce Aurora Mughrabi as the new manager of AR Valley."

He lowers his voice again speaking one last time as the doors open in front of me, "Burn them all, Aurora."

And I strut inside.

All heads turn my way as I stride down the aisle between tables. I catch his eyes; he smirks speaking in my ear.

"Yes, dove. Do that power walk."

I smile raising my head higher.

"That's it, my queen." He praises.

I reach his side and he wraps a protective arm around my waist, cameras flash in front of our eyes. I look at him and he smiles down at me leaning in to brush a kiss on my cheek. He then whispers in my ear, "this is just the beginning, my love."

I raise my brows at him and he continues tucking me into his arms urging me to ignore the people and cameras facing us and focus on him solely.

"You will be my wife, my equal, you should be the queen of my empire. I built all of this so my partner can be spoiled by it. And you, Aurora is the person whom I want to lay my everything at her feet."

He starts to lower himself to the ground.

Oh my God.

He continues and my eyes starts to tear, the whole avenue silences around us, but I pay them no attention when he kneels in front of me on the ground on one knee opening a small blue velvet box.

"Will you light my life like the Northern lights you are and marry me, dove?"

Tears blur my vision and I feel myself yell it out, letting it echo through the world, through anyone's ears.

"YES!"

He lets out a laugh and slides the squared diamond ring on my finger standing up again. Cheers erupt from around us and I wrap my arms around his neck.

A year ago, I said no when he confessed.

This year, I said yes when he proposed.

This is the difference between being sure and healed and being corrupted with the desire to die or to be forgotten.

"I love you, Aurora." He murmurs voice thick with emotion.

"I adore you, Omer." And he lifts me off of the ground, I hear whistles and applause and cheers as he spins me around laughing.
