We leave Nour's apartment after spending some other time with my friends. I can sense Omer is lighter and the stress is lifted from his shoulders. I smile as he reaches out gripping my thigh from across his seat as he drives us back to the hotel.

"I'll come back with you." I say and he glances at me before looking back to the road.

"Where exactly, dove?"

"London."

He shakes his head, but I beat him to it before he starts talking, "I already made my decision. I was coming back earlier for you anyways."

"But, dove. We already talked about that, no need to ruin your holiday and it's almost a month and we'll be back."

I push, "I want that, I had a month here why wouldn't I have the other month there?"

He removes his glasses, I can already see his eyes soften, "babe, you worked so hard last year. You deserve to rest and spend time with people you love."

"Including you."

He looks at me again, a smile blooming his face as he opens his arms for me and I bury myself in the warmth of his side.

"But... I need us to do something first. Before we go, I mean."

"of course. Tell me."

I look up at him and fidget with my rings before blurting, "face our families first."

He frowns then looks at me, "are you sure?"

I roll my eyes, "why is it am I sure? Why not you, I said both of us. Please, Omer."

"whose side are you on, little lady?"

I reach for his hand on my thigh and fidget with his watch, "yours." I mumble.

"Hmm, then why doesn't it look like it?"

I slap his shoulder lightly, "this is me on your side!"

"Try being on their side, maybe you'll be gentler on me- fine! fine! Don't pinch." he raises his hands in defeat as we reach the hotel.

We close the door after us, I lounge on the bed as I stare up at him picking at where we left our conversation, "we should face it, Omer. We won't hide forever. Either me or you."

He sits next to me as I roll placing my head in his lap then he laces is fingers through my hair. "Are you ready for that, baby?" he murmurs softly and I shake my head, "but I feel I've got you in my back. I have a bit of bravery to get this over with."

"of course you do, dove. I just don't want you to get affected badly. We don't want to remember your state last year when you came from their house."

I lift myself on my elbow to narrow my eyes at him with his fingers still in my hair, "you pay too much attention, huh?"

He nods, "yes. With you, always. I remember how numb you were. Hell, I was about to laugh in happiness when you yelled at me because finally I got a reaction out of you."

I feel my heart flip, "you did smile. I thought it was because I said your first name. A challenge."

He massages my head as he says quietly, "no, dove. Of course I felt happy when you said my name, but that day was the first time you gave a reaction since you arrived. I didn't care if it was an outburst, I was glad it was with me anyways."

"I was so rude." I groan pressing my face on his thigh.

"You were protecting your friend. You had every right to."
