Kaitlyn's POV:
"KAITLYN WAKE UP YOUR GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL" my mom yelled. It was 6:30 and I needed to leave the house by 7:00 so I got up took a quick shower and put some black skinny jeans on and a cute white tank top with black converse. I did my make up and went down stairs. "Are you ready for your first day?" My mom asked "as ready as I'll ever be" I replied. "Make sure you have fun" she said "I'll try to" "come on it's the first day of school, be happier" my mom stated "I got to go bye I love you " I said before I grabbed my skateboard and went to school. My school is only a 10 min walk away from my house so by skateboarding I'll be there in 5 mins. Or that's what I thought. I was kinda running late. I know it's terrible to run late, but especially on the first day of school. I started picking up the paste riding but it didn't do much help. I got to school right as the first bell rang hurrying to get my stuff and get to class before the tardy bell rang. Running through the halls I certainly didn't expect to run into someone. Especially not Sam Pottorff. He was the hottest boy in school and a YouTube sensation. How do I even go to school with him. But lucky for him no body really pays attention to him being a YouTuber and everything At this school. For crying out loud were in LA there's more important things here than YouTube. I look up at Sam ours our eyes meet "omg I'm so sorry" I said picking up my stuff "no don't be in sorry it as my fault" Sam said helping me pick up my stuff "no it's really not I was hurrying to get to class and ran into you" I replied back to him "it's ok I was doing the same thing, I'm Sam by the way" he said "i know... I mean in Kaitlyn" "it was sure nice meeting you I have to go before I'm late. I'll see you around Kaitlyn" "ok bye" I said as I slipped into first period before the tardy bell rang. The day went by really boring and slow. I was super anxious to get to the skate park after school and work on my moves. I only get to go once a week because I have to keep up with school and volleyball and everything. When lunch finally came I went to find my friends dani, Maria, and Leilani. There my "group" in school but I just say there my best friends. They were all talking about how they've already got homework but I kept thinking about earlier running into Sam. Like literally. I've had a crush on him for a while now and it grew when he actually talked to my. I don't even know why I still like him I know we would never have a shot. I'm not his type. He's into the popular skinny model girls. And obviously I'm not popular or that skinny and Im defiantly not a model. The day finally passed by and I got my board and went to the skate park. After a long 4 hours of hard work improving on my moves I had to go. My mom and I are meeting her boyfriend and his son for dinner. This is the first dinner I've had dinner with all of them and I think it's been 6 months. I rushed home and got a shower I put some other black skinny jeans on and a pink sweater shirt on with my high tops. I re did most of my makeup and grabbed my phone. "Are you ready Kaitlyn" my mom said "yes mom I'm coming" we got to the restaurant and went in to find her boyfriend. There at the table was Mr Lawley, Kian and Sam. Wow Sam is here oh my lord. They greeted us before we sat down. I sat closer to the boys than my mom and her boyfriend. How did I not know my mom is dating KIAN Lawley's dad. The next thing you knew I herd a voice. "Hey aren't you the girl I ran into earlier today? Kaitlyn right" Sam said "hey yep that's me. The clumsy one" I said back "you aren't clumsy" he said laughing. "So your the girlfriends mystery daughter I've never met" Kian said "I guess so, so that makes you the boyfriends mystery son I've never herd of" I said back him. We all laughed and got along really well. After dinner I kind of walked Sam and Kian to their car. "Hey Kaitlyn instead of going home now would you like to go get some ice cream " Sam said. Did Sam Pottorff just ask me to go somewhere with him. Nah it's not a date so it doesn't mean anything "yeah sure let me ask" I said.
Me: hey mom can I go get some ice cream with a friend?
Mom: yeah I guess, just be home at a reasonable hour. You have school tomorrow
Me: k thanks mom.
"Hey it's all good I can come" I said to Sam "ok hop in, and let's go" Sam said as he opened the passenger door for me "thank you" I said kind of blushing "your welcome" Sam said sweetly. We got to the ice cream place and Sam got some kind of double chocolate fudge ice cream and I got guava. We sat down at a table for 2 and made small talk. "Your crazy for getting that chocolate" I said laughing "it's good though" he said trying to give me a spoonful of his ice cream. I started smiling. "What?" Sam said while laughing "nothing". I giggled "try it! Pleasee" Sam said still trying to feed me. I finally gave in and took the spoonful so he would stop trying to feed me. It doesn't really make sense for him to try to feed me but oh well. After we were done getting ice cream Sam drove me home. "I had a good time with you tonight" Sam said "me too" I said "see you around?" Sam asked "yes sure!" I replied he then leaned in and hugged me. I walked in and my mom had already turned in for the night so I did the same thing.
Sam's POV:
I thought I saw going with Kian to see some snobby soon to be step sister, but instead I went out with this really interesting smart girl. Oops did I say went out we didn't go out, no we kinda did but anyway the point is, is that I had fun. I hadn't had that much fun with a girl in a really long time. It was nice to get out and have fun. While we had ice cream I tried to make small talk but she wasn't really talking much. I don't know. It's cute that she's shy though. All I can really say as of now is I really want to see her again. I looked over at my phone seeing it vibrate. It was Kian.
Kian: "hey how did it go??"
Me: "hey it went good we got ice cream and had small talk"
Kian: "do you like her??"
Me: "I think so. I need to be sure before we do ANYTHING Kian"
Kian: "😂 okay alright I won't do anything but your going to see her soon here number is xxxxxxxxxx give her a text. Let her know you want to hang out sometime
Me: alright thanks man.
I decided to text Kaitlyn like Kian said
Me: "hey Kaitlyn it's Sam..."
Kaitlyn "hey Sam what's up?"
Me: nothing much I was actually just wanting to know if you wanted to do something soon?"
Kaitlyn "yeah sure how about you guys meet me at the skate park on Tuesday?"
Me: "awesome okay I'll see you on Tuesday if not before"
Kaitlyn " okay until then. Goodnight"
Me: "goodnight"
I hope I see Kaitlyn before Tuesday but only time will tell
Me: "it's all set we're hanging out on Tuesday"
Kian: "that's great"
Me: "yeah I know and she skates just like us"
Kian: "so we're are we hanging?"
Me: "at the skate park on Tuesday"
Kian "okay cool"
Friday came and happened but I haven't ran into her so I guess I'll see her on Tuesday...
