Kaitlyn's POV:
I woke up and checked the time. The clock read 2:02 am. Ugh I had another nightmare. I tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't. I got up trying not to wake up Sam and went to the bathroom. I turned on the light and shut the door behind me. I went over to the sink and splashed some water on my face. After I whipped all the water off I used the bathroom and then went back to bed. I opened the door and saw Sam sitting up awake. I turned off the light and sat down. He pulled me into a hug and we just sat there. Sam let go and kissed me. Of course I kissed him back and just kissing turned into making out. I pulled away and rested my head on his chest. "I had a nightmare" I said "again" he said in a calming voice. "Yeah" I said "im sorry" he said "it's not your fault" I said "no I'm sorry for everything. I'm sorry for putting you through this pain." "Sam it's not your fault. You might think it is but it's not. This is hurting me more emotionally than physically" I said "why?" He asked "because I honestly don't think I'm going to be a good mother. We put our selves in this mess and now we have to face real life. I'm not, we're not ready for a baby and I think it will be easier if we don't have him or her" I said trying not to let any tears out "what are you saying? You want a abortion" Sam asked in a worried voice "no I could never do that. I think we should give it up for adoption" I said "I don't think we should do that, but it's your choice. I think we're ready and could be great parents to our little baby Pottorff, but if you don't want to and your not ready yet than we could consider that. Maybe in our future we will have another baby" Sam said "Sam of course we will. Your the person I want to be with for the rest of my life. I don't care about other people. I only care about you. Yes we're going to face things but I'm willing to take the risk. I love you Sam" I said "me too. Your the only girl I need. I love you so much" "and if we know we want to be with each other forever, than maybe we could take this baby and handle him or her together. But until then I don't know what I want" I said "we don't have to know tonight, but we need to figure out soon. But we need to tell our family's soon" Sam said. "Yes I know we will" I said laying down. Sam laid back down and I moved to where I was now laying on him. Sam wrapped himself tightly on me and I fell back asleep.
*7 hours later*
Sam's POV:
I woke back up to Kaitlyn on the phone with someone. "Yes I love you too" she said "okay see you soon mom" she then said again. Mom! She was on the phone with her mom? "What's going on?" I asked rubbing my eyes. "I called my mom" she said "I could tell" I said "and I'm going to tell her today" she said "really? That's good. I'm coming with you" I said "I know you are. You wouldn't let me do this by my self" she said "of course not" I said. "Hey when's your moms and Kian's dad wedding?" I asked "they moved it again to March 21st because of the money issue" she said. "Isn't that when the baby should arrive?" I asked "in between than and April" she said "so about 4 almost 3 more months to go?" I asked "yeah something like that" she said. "Hey we have the bug baby appointment today!" She said "you mean we find out if it's a boy or girl!!?" I said with excitement. "Yep, and then after that were meeting to tell my mom" she said. "We better get ready then" I said "yeah get ready for a long day" she said. "Don't worry it will all work out" I said trying to comfort her "I hope your right" she said just before she got in the shower.
*a couple hours later*
"Sam we need to go for the appointment like now" Kaitlyn yelled "I'm coming" i said grabbing my phone and the keys. We walked to the car and I saw a tear falling down her face. "It will be okay" I said "it's not that.. We find out if our baby is a little me, or you" she said "he/she will be a little both of us" "this is exciting" she said "I know, we will make this work!" I said grabbing her hand. "I'll drive" I said opening the passenger door for her. "Thank you" she said as I went around to get in. We arrived at the hospital for one of the biggest doctor appointments.
"Ms Alyssa and Mr Pottorff" the Nurse called us. "Ready" I asked "ready as I'll ever be" Kaitlyn said. We got inside the room and they told Kaitlyn to sit on the patient chair and me to sit on the chair right next to it. They rubbed some gel on her stomach, Kaitlyn giggled and then she said "ready to find out what your having?" Kaitlyn and I looked at each other. "Yes" we both said. "Kaitlyn, Sam, your having a baby..boy.. Congratulations!!" She said. "Omg we're having a baby boy" Kaitlyn said. "Omg Kaitlym I'm so happy. I can't even explain how I'm feeling." I said. I really hope we keep this baby. I would love to care for my son. Just knowing I have a son lights up my world. "How many pictures would you want?" The nurse asked "5" Kaitlyn said. She than gave us 5 print e pictures of our son. We both left the clinic with glowing faces. "We're having a boy!!" Kaitlyn said in excitement. "I know this is amazing" I said. "Now we have to do the hard part. Meet my mom and tell her" Kaitlyn said. "She'll see how happy we are and won't be mad" I said. Hoping its the truth. "Where are we meeting her?" I asked "Starbucks" she said. I started the car and we drive to Starbucks
Kaitlyn's POV:
We pulled into the parking lot for Starbucks and I immediately got anxiety. "Sam I don't know if I can do this anymore" I said "yes you can. Show her you can do this" "but I don't even know if I can" "of course you can, we've already made it this far, we got this" Sam said "I'm going to kill you if you are wrong" I said "and I will let you knowing that we tried" Sam said before he got out of the car. I got out of the car and grabbed Sam's hand. I saw my mom sitting at a table. "Here. We. Go." I said taking a deep breath. We walked inside. "Kaitlyn" she said with a smile "mom" I said. We hugged and then sat down. Sam looked at me and my mom asked what's going on. "Okay, so mom we asked you here because I, we have something to tell you" I said "your scaring me" "...mom.." I said but couldn't finish the rest "yes baby what's wrong? You can tell me anything" I grabbed Sam's hand again and out it came "mom I'm pregnant" her face dropped "no you can't be. Your only 19. Your still a baby" she said "I'll be 20 in a few months." I said "that doesn't make it better. Wait are you lying for a video? This isn't funny" she said. I got out the baby photos and handed them to her. "No I wouldn't lie about this" "oh my god" she said. "It's a boy" she said "yeah" she said. She then smiled. "I thought you were mad" I said "I'm not mad honey. I thought you guys would be safer. Especially you Sam, but sometimes this can't be prevented. This is my first grandson. Your first baby. Your son. All we can do it be there for you and help you. This isn't going to be easy but if you need help I'm here for you 100% Kaitlyn I love you" "mom thank you. I thought you were going to hate me. Everyone told me to tell you sooner but I was scared. We really need to talk about what we're going to do though." I said. "I could never hate you. Luckily your 3 years older than I was. But I made it. You will. What's your guys' plan as of right now?" She asked "we don't exactly have one" I said "Kaitlyn was thinking of maybe adoption but that's really it" Sam said "you want to give up your baby?" Mom asked. "I don't know. I want him to have the best live possible and I doubt he can do that with teens who have never had a baby and doesn't know what to do" I explained. "Well if your going to do adoption how about a open adoption?" Mom asked "what's that" I asked "where the baby lives with the adopted parents full time but you guys would get him on the weekends and can still be in his life. Since it's open adoption you guys would have to go to the court to make it legal and anytime you want to stop it and have you guys get legal custody than it will happen" she explained. I really like the idea of that. "I really like the sound of that. That way we could go to school still and get our baby over the weekends and if we decide we want him fully we can do that" I said "see talking to your mom was a good thing" Sam said. "Okay great now all we have to do is find parents who will be willing to do a open adoption" mom said. "Okay, well it's getting kind of late and we have some more things to do so I'll see you later than mom" I said "okay see you soon! Take care of yourself" she said. We got up and then left.
