Maria's POV:
I came to school the next morning after having an amazing class with nick. He's been like a "celebrity" crush for like forever. I saw him walk past me and I just smiled. He waved and smiled. Sam and Kaitlyn walked past too like they do every morning. I wish I had something like them. It was so cute and they were went for each other. The way he holds her it so cute! I want that with someone. Forget someone. Nick is that someone I want. But you know he could never like me because I'm not good enough for him or popular or whatever. I mean I'm kind of popular because Kaitlyn is and I'm her best friend but not the popular he wants. I try not to think about all of this because the last relationship didn't go to well either and I'm tired of guys like that. I think I just get lonely sometimes. It's nice having friends but I want that feeling of feeling safe with that special someone.. A couple periods passed, pretty slow though. It was finally lunch! Thank god. I wasn't feeling very hungry but I need to eat so I got some food. I got my tray and my food. I looked for Kaitlyn and Sam to sit like them like regular but I didn't see them. I kept looking and then I saw Nick. I was lost in my thoughts when I tripped on the wet floor. I was caught by Nick. Did he just run over here to help me. Why though. I thought to my self before I started tearing up. I was so embarrassed. The whole cafe was looking at me. I saw Sam and Kaitlyn run over here but I got up and ran away. I herd Sam say "go" to Kaitlyn but I saw Nick following me before her. I ran I behind the school where no one would find me. I didn't feel like talking. I was just sitting there crying, thinking about how embarrassing that was until I herd foot steps. I looked up assuming it was Kaitlyn but it wasn't. It was Nick. Why is he here? He doesn't care about me. "Maria are you okay?" He asked "why do you care?" I said knowing the fact is he doesn't care. "Because I care about you" Nick said "we've had one class together, how do you care about me" I said "it doesn't matter how long I've known you, I just do" Nick said "mhm" I said. Nick sat down and pulled me into a hug "it will be okay" Nick said "well see" I said "no well see's it will" Nick said "not when no one cares" I said "don't say that! You have so many people who care" Nick said "mh-" I was cut off by nicks warm smooth lips on my. I pulled away. "What was that for" I said. Waiting for a response. "No wait if you did that just to make me feel better than just stop" I said "I did it because.." Nick said "because why!?" I said sounding irritated "I like you Maria" Nick said. It happened to fast. "You like me!" I asked Nick "yes of course" Nick said "why" I said "not the reaction I was hoping for.." Nick said "no it's not that, just why would someone like you like me" I asked "for starts your beautiful, your smart, your funny, well your you!" Nick said. Right when he said I'm beautiful got me blushing. I started smiling. "I like you too" I said. "What do we do know?" I asked him. I got up ams grabbed my hand. He pulled me up and we walked back into the school. I loved that I was walking back in with Nick like this. We walked back into the school and go a few stares in the hall ways, but once we got back in the lunch room to find Kaitlyn and Sam we got a lot of stares. They didn't bother me as bad as I thought they would. I got to Sam but Kaitlyn wasn't with him "where's Kaitlyn?" I asked him confused "she went to find you!" He said. We all rushed out to go find her. We all met all around the school and didn't find her. "where did she go?!" Sam said worried "maybe the bathroom" I said. I went to check the bathroom but the door wouldn't open. I tired to open it again but it wouldn't open. I herd banging when I said "hello!" "Maria is that you" I herd Kaitlyn say "yes! Whats happening? Open the door" I told her "I can't. It won't open. I think it's locked" Kaitlyn said "who would lock it though" I said "well find out later, just please help me" she said "I'll be back" I said "please don't leave me!" She said "I'm going to go get help!" I said "get Sam too!" She said "he's part of the help" I told her. "Okay hurry" she said. I ran back to the front of the school to get them. "You didn't find her did you?" Nick said "no I found her" I said "where is she?!" Sam shouted "she's trapped in the bathroom" I said. Before I even finished Sam started running off. We got back to the bathroom where Kaitlyn was and Sam started yelling. "Kaitlyn?!" "Sam?!" She said "I'm here it's going to be okay! Well get you out of here" he said "okay hurry please" she said "we will babe" he said. We tried to pick lock the door with my bobby pin but it didn't work. The door just wasn't coming open. I ran to go get a key from someone. I found a ring of keys in the janitors closet. I took them and ran. "Here I found keys!" I told them. Sam grabbed them and tried every key until it finally fit. He finally unlocked the door and got it open. She ran out and jumped on Sam. Of course. They can't be 5 feet away from each other without freaking out. "My hero" she said "I had help" Sam said "I know" she said "thank you guys for getting me out" "we couldn't just love you" Nick said laughing all I said was "your welcome" "glad your okay" Sam told her before they started kissing. Nick grabbed me and pulled me closer to him. He started kissing me when they started to notice. I still don't know what we are but I don't want to just be this. "I think we're going to go" Sam said "yeah thank you guys for helping me again" Kaitlyn said "okay your welcome. See you later?!" I asked Kaitlyn "yes of course!" Kaitlyn said. I am hoping it will just be her. I need to talk to her. Without Sam. Kaitlyn and Sam left and then the bell rang. We didn't even get to talk about what this is. Luckily it was 2nd period so maybe we could talk. We got to chemistry class and took our seats.
Nicks POV:
I wanted/ needed to talk to Maria so bad but I couldn't find the time. Chemistry class just went by so quick and while doing our experiment we couldn't talk. Right before the bell rang I asked her "hey do you want to come over after school? So we can finish our experiment?" "Yeah sure, just text me where you live" Maria said "how about I just take you after school?" I asked her "yeah sure" she said "okay great, I'll see you after school" I said. The last bell of the day finally rang and I went to find Maria from her last period of the day. I found her ams we went to my house. My house was barley a 15 minute drive so we got there in no time. I showed her to my room and we got to work. We finished our paper work and all the work that was needed and she finally opened up about earlier "what are we?" She asked "What do you want to be?" I asked he "want me to be honest?" She said "yeah" I said " I want to have a relationship and feel safe and be Couply, I don't want a relationship I had before" she said. I noticed when she said that she got upset. I grabbed her hand. "Do you want to be my girlfriend?" I asked her "is this a question or are u asking me out" she said "I'm asking you out" I said she laughed "what?!" It sounded more like a question not you asking me out. I picked her up ams put her over my shoulder. "Stop put me down" she said laughing and smiling. "Be mine then" I told her "you need to ask me out" "I already did. I'm not putting you down. Until you answer me" I told her. I started walking down the stairs and went outside. "Where are we going?" She asked "I don't know" I said "what!" She said. "I'm just going to make you stay up here" I said "I'll be yours" she said serious. "Are you serious? Or just Saying that so I'll put you down" I asked her "both but mostly because I want to be with you" she said I out her down and kissed her. I had to drop her off at her house later and said goodbye for day. She made me so happy
