Serena clung onto Ash, as the pair laid together in their bed. "Goodnight, I love you." She said loudly, to her boyfriend as she snuggled into his chest. The loudness of the comment caused Dawn to roll her eyes, understanding that Serena had done that on purpose. "I love you too." Ash yawned back, before closing his eyes to fall asleep.

Dawn felt a feeling of unease hearing Ash say "I love you" to Serena. She just rolled her eyes once more as she sat down on her bed, next to Misty. "I hate this stupid room." She groaned quietly, as Misty giggled, "Somebody's a little jealous eh?" She asked also very quietly, clearly realising why Dawn was annoyed. Dawn looked around, taking note that May and Brendan's loud talking would be enough to make Ash unable to hear her and Misty's conversation. The girl then looked back to Misty, "Maybe." She admitted.

"Now you're not gonna kick me off the bed, are you?" Dawn asked, teasingly as she pulled the doona over her. "Just like old times?" Misty added, with a laugh. Dawn, Misty, May and Iris used to take turns having sleepovers at eachothers houses over the weekend. It was fair to say, Dawn knew Misty was a very restless sleeper.

The pair laid into bed, letting out yawns. "Goodnight Misty." Dawn said, before closing her eyes. "Goodnight Dawn." Misty replied, before also closing her eyes to go to sleep.

The next morning

Ash's POV

I slowly closed the door as I exited the shared bedroom, letting out a sigh of relief as I didn't seem I wake anybody.

I exited the Pokemon centre with Pikachu by my side, deciding to do some basic training with Greninja. Obviously we had nothing to train for at the moment, but I thought it would be good to keep up training.

I wasn't sure where I wanted to go next, Serena was hoping we could travel to a new region together, and I liked that idea.

Once Pikachu and Greninja became tired, I decided it was time for us to head back to the Pokemon centre.. hopefully my friends would be awake

I entered the Pokemon centre and went to walk past the shared bedroom, but stopped when noticing Dawn exit the room.

"Morning!" I chimed, catching her attention. "Hey." She smiled back, as we walked alongside eachother to the kitchen area of the centre, it was basically a shared kitchen area for anyone staying in the Pokemon centre.

"I'm thinking of doing some cooking." Dawn decided, "I need to get my minds off of things." She added, a bit quieter. I tilted my head, "Is everything okay?" I then asked. Dawn bit her lip, a bit hesitant to answer. "I uh... I had a bad dream again.. it's kind of happening a lot." She admitted sheepishly.

"About Paul?" I asked, as she sighed, nodding her head. I took a step forward and put my hand on her shoulder and held it there as she flinched slightly before looking up to me. "I will not let him hurt you. Not again... never again." I admitted sternly, looking into her eyes. She just gave me a smile, that showed she was grateful. "Thanks Ash." She said, as I removed my hand.

"Need a hand with cooking?" I then asked, getting hungry. "Sure! I was just thinking of something easy, like pancakes." She smiled. "Yes! I love pancakes!" I boomed childishly, causing her to laugh.
