Six months later

Dawn had been seeking help and healing, as she'd decided the night she'd gotten her memories back. Her mother was disappointed to find out that she'd remembered all of her trauma again, but heard Dawn out as she thoroughly explained how awful it felt to have no recollection of her life and to feel like she was born yesterday.

Dawn reached out for help and started seeing a psychologist, wanting to improve her mental health and be able to move forward. Ash, as he said, supported her every step of the way, sometimes driving Dawn to her appointments or catching up with her after for coffee to see how she was going. Dawn appreciated Ash so much, and his support meant everything to her.

May had been a huge support too, checking on Dawn as much as she could, but her holiday to Johto with Brendan that they'd planned months ago, finally came around and the pair set off to explore the region together. Nevertheless, May often video called Dawn to check on her and see how she was doing.

Johanna obviously was a huge support for Dawn too, paying for the appointments and making sure she was going to them.. but she also did her absolute best at home to keep Dawn happy.

Months after receiving help for her mental health, Dawn managed to get her driver's license, and then a week later landed a job waitressing in a busy restaurant in Jubilife city. She was doing so well, and was quite proud of herself.

Ash, likewise was quite busy. He'd landed a job in Jubilife city too, working in a busy kitchen in a different restaurant to the one Dawn worked at.

Dawn currently was finishing her shift, and got into her car. It was a cold night in Jubilife city and she was looking forward to getting home and curling up in her warm bed. She started the engine to her car and began driving, but slowed down when she started thinking about something.

She thought about Ash, and how much she loved him.. how much the raven haired boy meant to her. He'd been an amazing support to her throughout this whole healing process. She'd wanted to be with him months ago but was against the idea as she was in a horrible headspace and needed to focus on herself.. but now, she felt like she'd come so far and was doing so well.. she was in a much better headspace and was beginning to think about relationships. Quite honestly, she couldn't get Ash off of her mind.

The girl turned her car around, and began driving to Oreburgh city, not really knowing what to say or do.. when she knocked on Ash's door.. she was most likely going to wing it and tell him how she felt. She began to feel nervous, as she entered the city and was getting close to the boy's house.

Dawn parked her car in Ash's driveway, and opened the door. She bit her lip as she got out of her car and began walking over to his front door. She reached out to knock on the door, nervously shuffling her feet as she waited.

Pondering for a moment.. what if Ash didn't feel the same? What if he'd moved on and Dawn was too late? The girl shook her head, trying not to overthink this.. if Ash moved on, she was going to support him, like he'd been nothing but supportive to her.

The door finally opened, and a half asleep Ash stood in the doorway, he'd been watching a movie with Pikachu on his couch and nearly fell asleep. "Hey Dawn!" He chimed, before rubbing his eyes. "Hey Ash.. sorry it's a bit late.." Dawn sighed, before realising it was nearly midnight.

"That's fine! What's up?" Ash smiled, stepping aside so Dawn could enter his home. "I uh.. need to tell you something." The girl said nervously. Ash closed the door behind Dawn, before facing her again, "Go ahead." He smiled.
