He doesn't know if Rose is alive or not, but thought she wasn't dead. As the days passed without hearing from Rose, he then decided to stick with the truth.

She was dead.

"Why won't you be generous enough and lend us the material this time?" the leader handed out his hand.

"Like I would ever hand treasure to a stranger." Jard growled, bringing the artifact closer to him.

The Elysium leader clicked his tongue. "Being a little feisty, aren't we?" he smirked. He snapped his fingers, as the soldiers started firing at Jard.

Jard ran away, all the bullets whooshing past him.

The Elysium leader loaded his rifle and fired it at Jard, the bullet going in his arm. He grunted, as a portal opened in front of him.

He quickly stepped inside, then the portal closed.

"Ugh...dang..." Jard murmured, clutching his wound. He fell to his knees.

"OH MY GOD, JARD?! WHAT HAPPENED?!! WAS IT MILITARY INCURSION, I'M SO SORRY!!" Galf carried Jard to the bed, laying him down.

"No, the Elysium Corporation came earlier than I expected..." Jard mumbled, as Galf grabbed out a pair of clean tweezers, dis-infecting cream and some bandages.

"Try not to scream." Galf dug the tweezers in Jard's skin, as Jard felt the cold metal hit inside him, touching his muscles. He shouted, trying to pull his arm back.

Galf just held the arm in place, doing it easily. He pulled out a betal ball, or the bullet. He then put some sort of dis-infecting cream on it, then bandaged it.

"You did...pretty bad," Galf smirked. "Didn't I tell you not to scream?"

"Hmph!! Don't you know how much it hurts when removing the bullet?! It's even more painful than getting SHOT with the gun!!" Jard protested.

Galf let out a chuckle. "Well, take a little rest, great job on collecting the artifact by the way."

"What can I say? No problem!!" Jard seemed to flex.

He stared at the cracked ceiling, it looked like the roof was going to collapse soon. It looked pretty...ugly to some people. But who cares, this was home to Jard. It just felt like home.
