We finally made it back to the Helicarrier. As the jet landed, Fury and several armed guards were in the hangar, waiting. When Loki steps out with Steve and Tony, the guards take him and escort him out. I descend the ramp of the Quinjet and stop when I make eye contact with Fury. He had an angry expression on his face. I slowly walk over to Fury as Thor, Captain America, and Tony leave the hangar. Natasha approaches Fury and whispers to him. "Go easy on her." She leaves the hangar.
For a moment, Fury and I look at each other in silence. I could sense what he was feeling and thinking. It was taking everything in him not to lose his cool. Although Fury and I have a good relationship, I regard him as a father figure. There have been times when he's had to discipline me for things I've tried to pull in the past. The silence was deafening and I wished he'd say something already. "We'll talk about this later." Was all he said. I don't say anything and exit the hangar.
I enter the bridge and sit at a table between Natasha and Steve. On the table, there was live video footage of Loki standing inside a large glass cage. Fury enters the detention room and approaches a control panel. "In case it's unclear. If you try to escape, if you so much as scratch that glass..." Fury presses a button, which opens up a hatch underneath Loki's cell, and a gust of wind rushes out.
"It's thirty thousand feet straight down in a steel trap. You get how that works?" Fury closes the cell and points at Loki. "Ant." He then points to the control panel. "Boot."

Loki chuckles. "It's an impressive cage. Not built, I think, for me."
"Built for something a lot stronger than you," Fury said.
"Oh, I've heard," Loki said. He looks up at a camera in the cell. "A mindless beast. Makes play he's still a man."
