"Kaitlyn? Are you here with me?" Dr. Rivera asked when she noticed me sitting quietly on the couch. "If you can hear me, you're in my office now. You're safe, and the battle is over now. Just breathe slowly."

I do what she says and let myself relax after explaining what happened

I do what she says and let myself relax after explaining what happened. "Good. You're doing great. Is there anything I can do for you? Anything I can help you with?"

"I am a little hungry," I said

"You're in luck. I just stocked up my fridge. What would you like?" Dr. Rivera asked as she walked over to her little fridge in the corner of her office.

"Do you have any strawberry pop-tarts?" I ask.

"Yes, I do." Dr. Rivera grabs a strawberry pop-tart and a bottle of water and hands them to me. As I eat the pop tart, Dr. Rivera sits next to me. "I'm here when you're ready to talk."

"I miss them. My friends." I said.

"Have you been in contact with any of them since they left?"

"Other than Clint and Natasha, no. Well, Steve sometimes calls to check on me." I said.

"Do you think they'll come back?" Dr. Rivera asked.

"Oh, yes. I hope so!" I smiled. "Fury wouldn't have created this team if he thought they wouldn't come back. At least that's what Clint tells me."

"You know, it's truly incredible. What you did took a lot of courage and sacrifice. Despite what may have happened, you still decided to do what was right and fought for what you believed in. And for that, I am grateful." Dr. Rivera smiled.

"Thanks

"Thanks." I smiled back.

We hear a knock on the door, and Joseph walks in. "Hi. Dr. Rivera, there's a gentleman in the next room. Says he wants to speak with you."

"Well, I guess this ends our session for today. You did a good job, Kaitlyn. I'll see you next week." Dr. Rivera said before walking out of her office. I get up from the couch and continue to eat my pop tart as Joseph escorts me to my room.
