Already, I was starting to feel weak from the Tesseract's energy. My breathing became shallow as icy blue veins appeared on my arms. As I continued to keep the portal open, Loki walked onto the balcony and materialized into his armor. He smiles triumphantly and watches in admiration at the destruction happening from below.

Suddenly, Thor lands on the tower. "Loki! Release Kaitlyn, or I'll destroy the Tesseract." Thor demanded.
"You can't. If you destroy the Tesseract, you'll kill her. There is no stopping it. There is only the war." Loki said.
"So be it," Thor said. With a cry, Loki lunges at his brother. Their weapons collide, and Loki fires a blast of energy at Thor. He misses, and the blast causes one of the giant letters on the tower to tumble down to the ground. "Kaitlyn, you must let go of the Tesseract! If you don't, you'll die!" Thor shouts.
"She can't hear you. Kaitlyn is under my control." Loki said.
"Not for long," Thor said, kicking Loki.
Down below, soldiers and cops have taken positions in the city while the citizens continue to flee from the aliens. Iron Man zooms by his tower and sees Thor and Loki going at it.
The Quinjet booms into the city. "Stark, we're on your three, headed northeast," Natasha informs Tony on her comm set.
"What? Did you stop for drive-through? Swing up park. I'm gonna lay 'em out for you." Tony said. He swoops down the street, causing a Chitauri soldier to crash into a building. He leads the aliens who are chasing him to face the Quinjet. Natasha presses a button and activates a machine gun from underneath the jet. It begins to fire, and it takes out a few of the creatures.
"Sir, we have more incoming," Jarvis informs Tony.
"Fine. Let's keep them occupied." Tony said.
Clint scopes the city and sees Loki fighting Thor on the tower. "Nat?" Clint said.
"I see him," Natasha said. Clint aims the gun at Loki and fires at him. Loki raises his staff and sends a blast of energy at the Quinjet.
