I find it hard to believe that I actually have time to write again. So many things have happened that... I don't know what to think. I have been lying on a bed in the medical bay of a Lanza cruise ship for six days. Six days that I just wait for time to pass, while the pain in my body does nothing but torture every second of my life.

It took a lot of insistence from those mechanicus idiots to get Mason to bring my damn diary here. Stupid ignorant people. All day enduring his racist comments. All day listening to the nonsense that their robotic mouths say non-stop. Stupid comments. Stupid sentences. Stupid prayers to the Emperor. Everyone stupid...

I guess there's no use complaining in this state. I just want... some peace.

The arrival of the Calixus Crusade fleet to Atem III was smoother than expected. We only find a quiet world, and no Ork ships in the entire sector. Reports said that Atem III was already under attack, so this sudden turn of events took us by surprise.

I was on the ship, preparing the troops and organizing everything to comply with the orders as soon as they were given. These were not long in coming, and soon I saw how a servoskull was addressing me with an incoming call.

—Colonel Tairon. The troops are ready.

—Understood, commissioner. Prepare your men. The Marshal did not order Aten III to descend immediately. Black Templar Chaplain Haldredd will be in charge of operations. And you will respond to my orders.

-Understood. We're on our way.

—I see it on dry land.

With the order given, I called my men and we prepared for disembarkation. The Valkyries started their engines, while the units boarded the shuttles and the armored vehicles docked the transports that would take them to the surface. And once we were ready, we joined the massive deployment of troops descending on the surface.

I was in a Vlakiria with Mason and several of our troops. Some Cantus veterans, others, who would step onto the battlefield for the first time. They were nervous, and I couldn't blame them. Well, that's how I felt too that first day under the constant rain and on the muddy plains of Cantus.

—This time, those greenskin bastards are going to pay for what they did. —Mason commented between the shakes of our transport.

—We will make them pay for everything they did.

—For everything we lost.

—For everything we fight for.

—For everything we loved.

—For mom...

Several voices joined the collective anger, all coming from those who had fought at my side... But Henry's voice was the one that made me bitterest of all. If only he knew the truth... He would surely use that same weapon he carries to blow my brains out for hiding from him that his mother was perhaps waiting for him and his father at home. However... I couldn't stay silent... Not in that situation...

-Por Cantus...

Heavy words that calmed everyone's spirits, but brought out a sign of determination in everyone. I was not born in Cantus... But I consider myself one of them.

The transport ships finally reached land, and our disembarkation point was nine kilometers from the main city of Aten III. A rocky plain, where the divisions landed and took their positions. And it was enough for the Valkyrie in which I was transporting to open its doors to see a jeep waiting for my descent.

"Commissioner Harrus?" —Commented the soldier from the Astra Militarun who acted as the driver.

-Affirmative. What is the situation?
