Kengo woke up to the sun brightly blinding him through the window. He didn't remember much after he had his first sip. All he knew was he was now lying on the floor in the room. He sat up from lying on the floor, his mug still in hand. They tried to stand up but stumbled over onto the desk and had to use it as a stabilizer. He noticed a tray with 3 cups of tea and a note on it
"Works wonders for hangovers" was what the note said.
Ferdell groaned as he stood up "Let's remember not to drink that beer again, it's insanely strong. I can't remember much of anything after the first drink"
"Me neither" Ireen grumbled
Ireen and Ferdell gripped a cup of tea each and downed it in a moment. Ferdell was curious so he had Kengo take off his chest armor and they watched what happened to the food they ate. They watched as Kengo drank the tea. They watched as it flowed into his ribcage and it split apart into particles that fused into his bones. The pain from the arrows became a faint hint of what it previously was and then it was gone. Kengo's bones had healed themselves using the food and drink he had as a resource. Although it seemed he had to be awake and sober for the healing to take place. The food that he consumes while he is sleeping or after he gets drunk seems to be stored till the next time he eats to heal him.
"Huh, interesting it just absorbs into your body"
"As skeletons, we truly are unique creatures" Kengo picked his torso armor back up and equipped it.
"We better head out to meet Marla" Kengo grabbed his sword and strapped it to his back once again.
They left the pub and left for the Moonblossom Emporium. When they arrived Marla was waiting for them. She was wearing a bit of armor with a sword sheathed at her side. She had a backpack on for carrying the supplies she was going to collect.
'Yall ready" Marla turned and walked away
The three followed closely behind. Marla was joyful as she strolled into the forest. She spent much of the time stopping and collecting fungus and special flowers. After a major amount of walking, they got to an abandoned mineshaft entrance that was all boarded up preventing anyone from entering.
"Here we are, This is our final stop. Inside that mineshaft are the crystals I need to finish my supply list"
She tried to tug the boards free but they were stuck. She scanned the mineshaft entrance thoroughly and came to a conclusion
"The entrance is barred up so we will need to come back later with an axe if we want to enter..." She was cut off when Kengo placed his hands on the boards and ripped them free with the slightest bit of force.
"Ok then big fella, I guess we don't need an axe after all" She stepped inside the cave lighting a torch as she walked in.
They followed the rusty rails leading into the cave for a distance until they found a mine cart still sitting in the place where it was left many years before.
Marla rolled the cart a little to make sure it still functioned "It's still sturdy. Hop in"
They climbed in and Kengo pushed them off. They started riding through the cave, gliding across the rails like ice.
'Don't worry, riding one of these isn't that dangerous..."
The cart came to an abrupt stop when they hit the stopper at the end of the track. Ireen flew out of the cart and slammed straight into a wall ahead of them
"...The stop is though "Ferdell pulled himself off the ground
"I think I cracked a rib" was all he could whisper after getting his breath knocked out of him
