A huge battle erupted. Swords clashed, and arrows flew. They were cornered back against the pit. Suddenly the floor began to rumble. The stone they once stood on started cracking and breaking apart revealing a great dark hole below. Kengo ran as fast as he could to Marla, wrapping his arms around her and the supply bag. Then chucking her up onto the weight that made the lift work. She held on tightly as her life depended on it. Ireen was one of the first to fall into the hole.

He yelled happily as he fell. Kengo assumed that Ireen already knew a way to stop the fall from killing him. The rest of the floor collapsed showing the entirety of the large hole in all its deadly glory. Kengo barely managed to grip onto the bottom of the mine lift before the whole floor fell. Ferdell was sent rumbling down into the darkness along with the rest of the skeletons.

"Hey Kengo, hold on I think I can pull you up" She started shifting to jump from the lift weight. She shrunk back in pain once the sharp ache of the arrow in her thigh rushed back to her after the adrenaline had started wearing off.

"No! You are going to leave, Now!" Kengo knew or more he hoped Ireen and Ferdell had survived the fall. He knew it was possible, they had survived a fall that would kill ordinary people once before he was sure they would pull it off again.

"Hang on!" Kengo ripped his dagger from its holster on his hip "Don't come back for us".

Marla looked hesitant. "We will be fine. You on the other hand need to get that leg checked out".

Marla nodded, gripping the rope with all her strength. "See you on the other side".

Kengo sliced the rope holding the weight up underneath Marla and she shot up into the air as the weight of the lift pulled her upward. Kengo on the other hand was sent flying down into the depths of the mine. Marla was sent flying through the hole and she landed on the warm mid-day grass on the surface. She laid in the grass a moment before gradually slipping to sleep out of pure exhaustion. Kengo, still falling, managed to grip a few rocks on the sides of the pit and slowed himself down a little.

He remembers from the corner of his mind a shield spell he could use to break his fall.

"Protective bubble!". A ball of energy formed around him and the ground came into view.

The shield protected him from most of the fall damage. The shield could only take a certain amount of damage though. After hitting the ground once he bounced up a little and the shield dissipated until it was only him... and the cold hard ground he fell back onto. He could feel a slight pain in his back but at least that was a sign he was still alive. He was able to stand up and look around but he was pretty much surrounded by darkness. In one sudden moment a spark of light appeared in front of him and the first thing he saw was Ferdell standing right in front of him. Kengo let out a quiet yelp.

"Dang man, don't sneak up on me like that" Kengo was trying to catch his breath after falling practically a few hundred feet.

"Sorry, had to get some light down here" He was holding one of the torches they still had.

"Yoouuu!" A raspy voice spoke behind them. There ,still standing, was the skeleton who had started the whole previous conflict. His crumbling body was extremely damaged during the fall. And many of the other skeletons who were fighting were crushed by falling rubble.

"Yoouu ar-" He was cut off when multiple arrows flew from in the darkness and nailed him in every key joint in his body, pinning him to a rock wall. He looked to be in pain.

"Hey whats up guys, nice of you to drop in

"WHAT HAVE YO-!" He was cut off yet again by Kengo's fist connecting with his face, shattering his skull into hundreds of pieces.
