Reminiscing and a little surprise

The first week of school was over, some of the students went home, visited their families, went on dates or met up with friends.

Maleficent was in the Moors and spent the Saturday with Stefan, much to Hades' disliking. Stefan, though, went back to his dorm in the evening after they spent most of their day together. They talked about their future, their wishes and everything that came to mind.

They walked around the Moors, spent their time on the river and cuddled until he went home again.

On Sunday morning she was flying around, talking to other fair people. She really enjoyed talking with them, it was always a nice feeling to be around people who understand magic like you do, understand the danger of their situation.

She watched the magical creatures play around, fool around each other and take care of nature.

Before going back to her tree, she stopped by the tomb bloom field, which is essentially a lot like a cemetery. They bury their dead and the magical nature of the moors takes on its own and magical flowers grow out of their bodies to honor them for the last time.

She flew slowly, not very high, just high enough to not harm any of the flowers. She reached the place she wanted to be at, her parents' resting place. She had a routine, really. Every Sunday she would visit the tomb bloom field and tell her parents about the happenings of the week. She missed them dearly, and she wished that they could have met Stefan and see how she had grown up, seen her accomplishments.

She knew that the spirits of deceased people flew around the Moors sometimes, and it was great to know that her parents were still there in some way, but she missed talking to them a lot.

Her parents' spirit flew through the leaves of nearby trees, went through her open hair, causing it to land on her back, before the spirit made a circular motion which caused Maleficent's hair to be in a ponytail instead.

The simple touch reminded her of when she was much younger, reminded her of her mother touching her hair before putting it up in a ponytail.

She flew back to the cliff that housed her tree with the nest she called home. She looked ahead, staring straight at King Henry's castle. She did not know very much about the human kingdom, despite being an eager learner and quite knowledgeable.

She knew that the Queen had died when she was about 9 years old, which led to the war where she lost her parents. Besides that, she knew that the king was a very greedy man, probably like all kings.

She was deep in thoughts, until she saw hundreds of armored men riding towards the Moors. She immediately flew throughout her kingdom, warning the folk to hide and seek shelter, as she gave the warriors a sign to be at the ready in front of the kingdom.

She flew to the front of the Moors, and landed on a big stone shortly after the soldiers and the king arrived. They all went a step back, scared of her. Everyone was waiting for something to happen, the soldiers for the king to give orders, the king waiting for the perfect moment, Maleficent waiting for them to attack.

"Go no further!" Maleficent yelled the order, making sure even the soldiers in the back heard her.

"A king does not take orders from a winged elf" King Henry answered, the soldiers suddenly laughing at this comment.

"You are no king to me," Maleficent states, surprising every one of the soldiers and even Henry himself.

He did not stand for such words, such insults! The murmurs between the men started. Maleficent stared him down, waiting for him to attack.

"Attack her," Henry ordered as he turned his head to take a look at his army.

"Battalion," one of the soldiers, the head of the army Maleficent assumed, said.
