During that week, Stefan came up with the perfect plan for killing Maleficent, his darling girlfriend. She trusted him fully, which gave him the freedom to do whatever he wanted.
Since he was a year older than her, he also didn't have any classes with her, meaning he didn't have to see her much and pretend everything was normal.
The only time they spent together during school was on breaks or when they both decided to skip a class. Which, to be honest, didn't happen many times. His girlfriend, after all, enjoyed learning new things.
She was very intelligent, she knew a lot, which was the reason the three pixies, Knotgrass, Flittle and Thistlewhit, joked about how she knew everything.
School wasn't really that big of a concept in the Moors, though. The kids had tutors or were taught by their parents. Maleficent used to have a tutor, and it was that ugly tree warrior, Balthazar, but when she was 14 she enrolled for Merlin Academy.
Her parents had known Merlin from their younger days and met again when Maleficent was in her early childhood. She didn't remember him though, but he was all too happy to let her go to his academy.
Stefan shook his head to stop his thoughts and checked if he had everything he needed for the coming weekend where he would meet up with Maleficent again.
He got some drugs, that specifically work on fairy people, an iron dagger and an iron chain, remembering the first time he met Maleficent.
"Iron burns fairies." she told him, and he immediately threw away the iron ring that had just burned her.
He had loved her, he really did, but he would never love her more than his ambition. His ambition was his true love, his number one, something Maleficent would never, could never be.
He loved her, but not enough to not harm her for his own gain.
His ambition means more to him than she'll ever will. Even after everything she'd done for him, even after every day they had spent together. Even though she was the first and only friend he had ever known.
She once went to the human kingdom for his birthday to surprise him with her gift. It was an expensive gift. She worked during school breaks to be able to afford it. Going to the Human kingdom was very dangerous for every Moor creature since humans hunted them. She risked herself for him.
Now none of that mattered, he would finally be king.

The week came faster than expected, and the weekend was in full swing. Which meant one thing: Stefan's plan was ready.
He checked his bag again, just to make sure he got everything; a bottle with tampered water, weapons made of iron. Everything he needed right there, his way to success right in that little brown bag.
When the late afternoon came around, he attached the wooden carriage, if one could call it that, to a horse. He took a deep breath, mentally preparing for what he was about to do.
He was riding all the way to the Moors, calling for Maleficent until she landed behind him.
She greeted him with a short, but love-filled kiss. She took his hand and led him into the Moors.
They walked to the river where they used to play as children. Stefan caressed her hand while she held his. He made small circular motions across the back of her hand.
"Do you want to fly again?" Maleficent asked him, reminding him of the old times of when he would hold onto her legs while she flew over the Moors.
He nodded at her, she flew into the air, and he grabbed her legs after getting rid of his shoes. She flew them over the water, low enough that his legs would touch the warm, clear water.
