It's been weeks since they went through the forest; a lot has changed since then. The leaves on the trees turned orange, Hook and Morgie came out to their friends. Maleficent hasn't been to the moors since that fateful day; no matter how much she missed it, she couldn't bear going back, not yet. She had no reason to.

Another thing that happened was that she had been diagnosed with PTSD, posttraumatic stress disorder; she hadn't told anyone about it, of course. She didn't want anyone to know about this weakness.
She was sure Hades knew anyway.

It had been exactly eight weeks.
actually, meaning this was Stefan's first day go being allowed back on the school grounds.

She and her friends sat around the fountain, talking, ignoring how close Maleficent and Hades were. During one of the classes, the teacher taught them a spell on how to communicate telepathically. This became Hades and Maleficent's preferred method of communication when they were in public.

„Have you heard? Stefan is betrothed to Princess Leah now!" Another student, Maleficent didn't know the name of, said.

„He's supposed to be the next king; can you believe that he betrayed Maleficent for this?" another one muttered.

Maleficent's ears started ringing; she was overcome by rage, so this is why he had done it? He betrayed her for a title and a fancy chair? How could he?

Her friends looked at her in concern; this must've been a horrible way to find out.

„I made him king." Maleficent said it was barely more than a whisper. „I need to find him," she thought to Hades.

She walked away, hitting her scepter in the ground at every step. She looked through the crowd, not seeing her ex anywhere; she decided to go to the other section of the schoolyard.

Hades was the first to follow her, running after her to catch up. Shortly after, their friends came after them.

She eyed the students, analyzing all of them, trying to find Stefan; he was in the middle of the crowd. He looked so lost, nobody wanting to talk to him, quite a few suspecting that he had been behind it.

Maleficent walked to the center of the yard, everybody making space for her. She was just a few feet away from her ex-boyfriend.

Stefan looked at her, gulping hard. He was looking around, trying to find a way to get away from her, but there was no way out. Her friends, well, besides Hades, who stood just a few feet behind her, ready to intervene, stood at different exit points. Hell, even some of the good kids blocked the doors to the inside, as well as the archway. There was no way for him to get away.

Maleficent walked just a few steps closer to him, just close enough to intimidate him. Her rage consumed her whole; she was blinded by the hatred she felt.

„You did this to me so you would become the next king." Maleficent stated, her anger consuming the scepter, until it magically exploded straight into the air, causing a huge green cloud to cover the entire school to appear.

The students were scared, but they knew her wrath wasn't directed at them. Stefan would be the only one to suffer.

„You wanted to kill me for a title. You thought you could defeat me? Me?" Maleficent said, loud enough for everyone to hear, her voice powerful, before she threw her head back in a laugh.

„Prove yourself worthy of being king!" Maleficent said he didn't understand. What was she saying? What did she want?

„Maleficent," he tried to interrupt, trying to dissolve the tension, but it didn't work.

„Kill me like you fucking intended." She yelled the order. He didn't have a chance against her; she was the strongest of her kind, stronger than humans, a killer of armies.
