Hades, the caretaker

Maleficent had been lying there for four days, barely moved, she couldn't bring herself to do it. She had cried and screamed so much during this week. Her throat had been sore, and her eyes were swollen and puffy.

During the times she was awake, the fair people brought her berries and other food, since she did not move, did not walk, could not walk anywhere. Some tried to lift her mood.

The three good fairies had cast a spell that helped heal the burn as much as they could. It wasn't much and certainly not fully healed, she would still need medical attention, but it helped.

She had just woken up as she realized that she had dreamed about Hades. She didn't remember any details of it though.

She tried to stand up, struggled through it, but she had made it for the first time since Stefan stole her wings. Her body wasn't used to the lack of weight on her back, which made walking a challenge.

She made a few steps forward, her back was still in severe pain, but still better than it had been the morning after.

She saw a stick lying on the ground, grabbed it and used her magic to transform it into a scepter that she would use as a cane. She felt silly, she was a fairy with the biggest of wings and now she was earthbound.

She then decided that she would go to school again. She had missed almost an entire week. She started walking to school, knowing it was going to be a very long way.

During that week, Stefan had brought Maleficent's wings to the king, lied to his face that he had killed her and was not betrothed to princess Leah.

He was very pleased that this plan worked out so well. He would make a fine king, indeed.

Hades, Uliana, Hook and Morgie had grown concerned for their friend. She had never missed school this long.

Hades was especially apprehensive. He even had a dream of Maleficent where something was entirely wrong, even though he couldn't put his finger on that. He even thought about going to the Moors to find her and figure out what was wrong. The only problem with that was that he didn't know how to get to the Moors.

Turns out he didn't need to go to the Moors anymore, because Maleficent had just walked into the schoolyard.

When he saw her without her wings, he ran towards her as fast as his legs allowed him.
Their friends, hell, everyone was shocked and the murmurs started.

"Her wings?" someone called out.

"What's going on?" someone else whispered.

Their friends got up wanting to go to her, see what was going on. She didn't realize how much she wanted to see them, how much she missed Hades.

He had looked so disturbed and confused when he saw her. What the hell happened to her?

"What happened?" he asked her. He could see that she had been crying a lot as her eyes were still swollen.

She really wanted to tell him, but not in front of all of those people. So, instead of telling him, she shook her head and he got the hint.

"I'll tell you everything later," she promised him. He was grateful for that. Together they walked back to the group.

"What in the seven seas happened?" Uliana asked. She was angry for Maleficent. She was a bit more of the innocent one in this group, never having done anything that was actually fully evil. She was a great asset and always up for some plotting and evil pranks, but straight up evil wasn't something Maleficent was.
