Poland

Earth

A pair of F-15s with red markings on their tails fly high over wheat fields across Poland, the USAF insignia on their wings.

They fly in formation, on a regular patrol route over the European nation.

"Warsaw One, Warsaw Two, report in." A base commander orders.

"Ain't shit out here, as usual. Just some civilian aircraft and a few Russian patrols on their side of the border."

"Well good, 'cause we have something on the radar over the Polish side of Kaliningrad."

"What do you mean by 'something'?"

"We're not sure, but it's 5000 feet above land and moving slowly, could be another Russian helicopter testing our defenses."

"We'll check it out, just keep an eye on it."

The two Eagles soar full afterburner down to correct altitude, dashing toward Kaliningrad.

"Yep, seeing it on my radar, looks pretty small for a helicopter, might as well get something with VTOL for this."

"We'll send a few helis if we need to, just keep an eye on it."

The pair of fighters fly closer, nearly colliding with a small black orb-looking object with tentacle-like appendages on it's bottom.

"Woah! We just went right past it, looked smaller than a human, we'll make a slower pass-round."

A group of Apache helicopters take off from a Polish air base, making their way to the contact point.

Venator Class Star Destroyer, Scout

Unknown Regions

"Captain, we're getting footage from probe 825, it's currently over some continental world a few systems over, and looks like it's under surveillance by some unknown faction, the ships they're using are... unique to say the least." A Clone officer says aboard the scouting Venator, filled with probe droids and older craft.

"Interesting, on screen." The captain orders, a hologram of the event over the durasteel floor, the probe staring right into the cockpit of a propeller-powered hovercraft, armed with missiles and ballistic cannons.

"Send another group of probes and report information to Coruscant, what's the system?" The Captain asks.

"The ah- Sol system, planet is Sol III."

"I'll send the information from my quarters, keep an eye on that system, looks like an uncontacted civilisation to me."

Several dozen probe droids launch from the central hangar, small ion engines and hyperdrive propelling them into one direction in space: Earth.
