ABBY

It's finally almost the end of my shift and there's no customers in here at the moment. We got through the busiest part of the day and it's almost closing time.

I grab a rag and start cleaning the counters before I hear the bell on the door ding again. I seriously gotta talk to Alice about taking that thing off before it drives me crazy.

Without looking up, I set down the rag and walk over to my register. "Hi welcome to Mad Hatter cafe, Can I have a name for the order?"

"Yeah, uh Billie" I hear in a voice I'd recognize literally anywhere. I freeze and slowly look up. My hazel eyes meeting the most beautiful ocean blue eyes. The eyes that could only belong to one person. Billie Fucking Eilish.

"Oh Okay" I stutter and write down her name on a cup. "What can I get for you today?" I say nervously. Get it together Abby.

She chuckles at my nervousness. "Do you have any vegan options?" She says with a smile.

I smile back at her, still dying inside might I add.

"Uh, Yeah. Definitely! We have an assortment of teas and juices and smoothies. As well as some vegan options in the bakery section. Like Cookies, Cakes and other stuff. I recommend the Dragon Melon Smoothie. It has Dragon fruit, Watermelon, Strawberry, and Chia? Whatever that is. But it's one of my favorite and I think you'd like it" I say

"Okay great! I'll try that" she says still smiling at me. If she keeps smiling like that, I might have a heart attack. "Alright, is there anything else I can get for you?" I ask and look back up at her after typing her order into the register.

She shakes her head no and proceeds to pay.

After paying I go to make her smoothie, but not without looking back at her a few times to make sure I'm not just imagining this.

"This place is so cute! I've been to New York so many times but have never been here" I know, I would've noticed if you have. I think to myself.

"Yeah, the owner Alice has own this place for the past 30 years" I tell her. "Well, I'll definitely have to come back before I leave and whenever I'm back in the city" She looks back up at me after facing the counter once again. "You definitely do"

I finish her drink and turn around to hand it back to her. Say something Abby. You don't know when or if you'll see her again!

"I'm a huge fan by the way. Have been for so many years" I blush.

"Yeah I noticed haha. Thank you for supporting me, it really does mean the whole world" She laughs and looks at me gratefully.

"Of course. You've made a huge difference in so many people's lives around the world, including mine. So, thank YOU. Really."

"Of course. Can I give you a hug?" She asks me. Billie fucking Eilish asked me if SHE can hug ME?! Fuck I might die right here, right now.

"Please" I whisper just loud enough for the two of us to hear. Smooth Abby. Real smooth.

She laughs lightly and I walk around the counter over to her and she wraps me in the warmest and best hug I've ever had in my whole life. Don't cry Abby. Don't cry. Wait till she leaves.

We pull away after a minute and she looks down at me. Of course, she's taller than me, I'm 4'11.

"Do you have a ticket to my show in a couple of days?" She asks me.

I laugh. "No, I wish I could afford that"

"Well now you do. Here" She reaches behind me and grabs a napkin and the pen I used earlier. "Write down your email, I'll have 2 front row tickets emailed to you by the end of the day". She says and hands me the napkin and pen.

I shake my head. "No, you don't have to do that Billie". She smiles at me. "I know I don't HAVE to. But I want to. You've been so kind to me, even though I know it's your job to be. But I appreciate it. I also want to make sure all of my fans get the chance to see me at least once. I love every one of you guys and appreciate you so much". She tells me, once again making me want to cry.

I slowly turn around to the counter and write my email down on the napkin and hand it back to her. "Thank you. For everything". She hugs me, "Of course love. Thank YOU for everything as well" She says and walks out of the cafe.

Okay girl. NOW you can cry.

Short chapter, I'm sorry

I'm going to try to write longer chapters. I just didn't know what else to put in this one.
