ABBY

The next morning

I wake up to my alarm, meaning I have to work.

I turn over and shake the sleeping Kelsey beside me. We decided to sleep at my house after the concert. It was closer and we were tired. 

She wakes up, groans and rolls over.

"We gotta get ready for work" I mumble and sit up. 

Eventually she gets out of bed, and we get ready. 

"Can I borrow one of your work shirts?" She asks since she didn't bring anything from her place. I nod and she takes one from my dresser. 

We get dressed and do everything else we need to do to get ready. Our hair, Makeup (She does more than I do. I just do a little eye shadow and mascara. She does a bunch of extra stuff I couldn't be bothered to say) and I also put on some bracelets, earrings and a necklace. Just to make the uniform look a little better. 

We head downstairs and don't have a lot of time, so we just eat a bowl of cereal before heading out the door.

"Abby, can you bag up a blueberry muffin, a chocolate chip muffin and an oatmeal raisin cookie for me please?" I hear our coworker Tessa ask as I finish an order. I nod and go to get them. 

"So, this is the cafe we've been hearing you work at?" I look up from what I'm doing and see Finneas and Claudia standing on the other side of the counter. 

"Oh my god hi! What are you guys doing here? I thought you were leaving last night?" I ask them with a big smile on my face. 

"Yeah, we were going to but we were all so exhausted, so we decided to stay the night and get on the road this morning". Finneas says. 

"Not without stopping to see you first though! Did you guys have a good time last night?" Claudia asks. 

Kelsey walks out from the back, sees them and comes over to us. 

"We had the best time! Probably the best night of my life" I say. 

"Hi guys!" Kelsey says and waves to them. 

"Kelseyyy! Hi! We wanted to stop by before we get on the road". Finneas says with a frown. "But we'll see you guys' next month, right?" He says and looks back and forth between the two of us. 

"Actually I was just coming to tell you Abby, I just talked to Alice, and she said it works out perfect because her son, mentioned planning a family trip. So we can go!" Kelsey tells me and my jaw drops. "Oh my god really?!" I get excited. 

"Yesssss! Okay I'll get your plan tickets as soon as I can and send them. Don't worry about anything except for packing!" Finneas tells us excitedly. "Okay!" We say. 

Claudia checks her phone and sees the time. "Finn babe we have to go" she says sadly.  

"Alright. We'll see you guys real soon" 

Kelsey and I walk around to the other side of the counter and hug them goodbye. 

"Sorry Billie wasn't here. She was still sleeping when we left". FInneas rolls his eyes and laughs making us laugh as well. 

"It's okay, at least you guys came!" Kelsey states and I agree. 

We say our goodbyes and see you soons and they leave the cafe. Not without buying something for the road of course. 

The rest of the work day wasn't too bad. It was busy but not too busy and before I knew it, it was time for me to go home. I head into the back office and see Alice at her desk.
