Our flight landed on schedule, and we were greeted with the most breathtaking scene I'd ever seen.

As we walked outside the airport with our bags, it was almost sunset, and a cool yet soothing breeze blew about us. But the only thing that made me and Rachel stare in awe was the sky, now covered in shades of warm yellow and golden, and a layer of dark and scattered clouds occupying the sky. If aesthetics were a location, this should be it.

I nearly regretted not having thought about launching my main restaurant in Edinburgh.

Rachel murmured, "Pinch me," with a voice just above a whisper. "If this is a dream, I need to wake up now."

I chuckled before squeezing her ass with my fingers, earning myself a glare. "You asked for that."

"How can you even think of being funny right now?" She gawked. "We are literally standing on the ground of Athens of the North."

"You are right." I agreed, turning my attention back to the mesmerizing view of the sky. "It's even prettier than you."

"Exactly!" Rachel exclaimed looking up and raising her arms to make her point.

I thought she would throw a tantrum for what I said.

My smile returned when I let myself look at her once more, while her focus remained glued to the view above.

"This is such a beautiful thing to see." She marvelled at the sight.

My eyes scanned the glow on her face reflected by the shade of the sky, equally amazed as she was. "Oui, vraiment beau." Yes, truly beautiful.

My phone chimed in my pocket, breaking my trance. Fetching the device, I saw a text from the hotel I booked for us that they were expecting our visit.

I circled my arm around Rachel's waist, pulling her to my side. "Let's get to the hotel before it gets dark. I'll call a cab."

Before I could move, she gripped my shirt. "How far is the hotel?"

I raised a brow. "Ten minutes drive."

"And by walk?" She hesitated. Rachel Wang hesitated.

"Fifteen, maybe twenty." I tried to see through her. "Why?"

She scratched her head. "Nothing..."

I didn't believe her. "This is the first time I'm seeing you scratch your head while talking, and you want me to believe it's nothing."

"No, it's just..." she sighed. "It's nothing, really."

"Rachel Wang." I gripped her chin and tilted her face towards me. "What's going on in that sexy brain of yours?"

She exhaled deeply before speaking. "Promise me you won't laugh."

I nodded. "Promise."

"I was just wondering if... we could walk our way to the hotel if it isn't that far?" She bit her lower lip before continuing. "I really can't wait to see the city for myself until tomorrow."
