Day 12: Spirit/Screech

I had to go back and rewatch Rainbow Quest Aftermath's Episode 5 for this one cause I couldn't fully remember the events for what happened with it XD definitely gonna rewatch that entire series again later for Solace and such XD

Also as for why Sabre is back after the loop-

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" I cover my ears from the ear piercing screech the spectral in front of me, let out. I wince, then duck back as it swipes at me. I definitely wasn't prepared to recreate Ghost Busters today!!

As I swing a sword at it to deter it away from me, I yell over the chaos to a blue haired man not far away from me. "Hey uh, Blue Leader?! How do we deal with these things?!" The leader looks over at me, shouting back.

"Get them over to me!"

I nod, then ready myself as I shout to get the attention of one of the spirits. "Hey off brand Halloween decorations!! Over here!! Nice and tasty chicken dinner here!"

... I shouldn't have shouted that.

I promptly start running as almost every single wraith in the kingdom started to race after me. Well, at least I had been practicing parkour of recent. CAUSE THESE THINGS WERE NOT GIVING UP. I leap over a cart, then climb up a bunch of hay bales to get into the trees. Maneuvering myself, I leap from tree to tree, then onto the rooftops.

The screeching of every single spirit behind me made me want to hear nails on a chalkboard more than them. Well sadly there wasn't any chalkboards around. So I couldn't help my poor ears.

"SABRE!! OVER HERE!!"

I turn my head for a moment to see Blue leader down on the street below me, following after me. Yet I quickly snap my attention back to the swarm following after me as I barely dodge a wraith as it flings itself over my shoulder. Sliding down the roof, I cling onto my sword, then drop down to the street. Pain shoots up my legs and I hiss and wince, but I hear a wraith right behind me and haul tail to my left.

Blurs flick past as I sprint and after a moment, I realize I passed by Blue Leader. I hiss under my breath, then angle myself to a corner. Ohhh this was such a dumb idea but I am the KING of dumb ideas!! King of it I say! I skid to a stop before I slam into the wall of a house, then flip around. The group of wraiths screech more and one flings itself towards me.

I hold my breath, hoping I wasn't utterly [REDACTED] right now. Claws reach for my face and I close my eyes in reaction to it.

Loud cracks of thunder fill my ears and my vision from under my eyelids goes white. The screeches of the wraiths lingering in my ears. Yet out of nowhere, it goes quiet. After a moment, I pry my eyes open. The wraiths were gone, and all that remained was Blue Leader, his hand up, and out of breath.

"Remind me... Later... To ask... How you can run so fast..." He pants out. I just chuckle lightly and manage to nod. "Yeah- later man- just go deal with those things, please." Blue leader gives me a thumbs up before he disappears in a flash of lightning.

... I'll ask him later about what in the name of the Everything that was about.
