Day 7: Creativity/Creature

Yeah, shorter prompt write for today. Mainly so I can catch up with updates lol, don't mind me XD also- I will take name suggestions XD

"Wh-What is this?" I gazed at the weird creature in Orange Leader's hands. The strange thing... yips at me. It's tounge lolled out of the side of it's toothless mouth while it tries to paw me with it's ten-toed paw. "It's a puppi! I thought you could use a bit of a- support animal." Orange Leader looks at me with a smile, obviously proud of this... Puppi.

He holds it out for me to hold and the thing gets excited and yips, its three eyes on me. Part of me wanted to reach out and pet it for the long, poofy hair it had looked absolutely soft. But the other part... Was questioning everything else. Three eyes? No teeth? Ten toes and two tails?? How did Orange Leader even make this thing??? What sort of creativity would be needed to even come up with a creature like this?

Eventually, mainly due to my friend's eager stare, moreso, I take the fluffy creature into my arms. It yips happily, snuggling down into my arms.

I can't help but feel my heart melt as it snuggles down into my arms, happy and content. "It loves you! And you love it as well, don't you? I can tell from the look on your face!" The orange haired man bounces excitedly on his heels, making me want to roll my eyes a bit. But... He was into something. Just holding this creature in my arms and having its weight felt comfortable. Not to mention its fur was genuinely as soft as it looked.

"I do find this thing adorable, Orange Leader. Thank you," I say a bit quietly to not disturb the creature in my arms. He just grins and nods excitedly. "I'm glad!" With a pause to look behind him at the clock, he starts and grabs his hat from his bedpost. "Shoot! I promised I'd meet Indigo in five minutes! Name the puppi anything you like, Sabre! I'll see you around later!" And with that... He was out the door. Leaving me in this bedroom with only a soft, furry, four legged creature in my arms. I just simply sigh, shaking my head.

Why did I agree to this?

Without a word, I walk over to the door and then exit the room. As I do, my personal guard starts to attention then looks at the creature in my arms. "... Don't ask. It's a gift from Orange Leader, I say, then start to walk towards my room. Thankfully, my guard doesn't ask, and simply escorts me through the citadel and to my room. Once I enter through the dark oak doors, I instantly beeline to my bed to set the fluffy creature down. As soon as I do, they look up at me with a confused look. I just sigh and rub my neck.

"... What am I gonna name you."

It just stares up at me, before flopping over and laying on its back with its tummy towards me. A smile crosses my face and before I know it, I'm giving the strange creature a ton of belly rubs. I guess I gotta hand it to Orange Leader's creativity. He knows how to make soft creatures.
