Chirping bugs sound all around us as I stare up at the sky, gazing at the stars on the cloudless night. It was a half-moon so there wasn't much moonlight, but it didn't matter all that much. It was all the light I needed, anyways. A soft sigh escapes me into the cooler summer air, swallowed into the buzzing and chirping of the bugs. It was beautiful tonight. I honestly hadn't had too much time to simply enjoy a night like this in a long time.

Shifting from beside me draws my gaze to meet the soft yet vibrant violet eyes of the steve beside me. A smile gently pulls at the corners of his mouth as he lays on his side, his right hand cushioning his head. I let a smile cross my face as I shift to lay on my side, only keeping my left arm still under my head while I rest my right on the blanket we both were laying on.

Both of us didn't say anything. We didn't need to. Just him and I... together out here... It was all the conversation we needed. He shifts his hand towards mine, gently resting it and holding mine. I feel my heart leap a bit in my chest. His hand was soft and fit perfectly over mine.

After a moment, I shift closer to him, laying so that I was with my head closer to his shoulder. He moves and shifts us both so that I had my head resting on his shoulder, with his arm around my body. The soft smell of the alliums and potions that stuck to his clothes greet my senses. With gentle movement, he starts to rub my back a bit, sending small waves of a relaxing tingling sensation through my body. Shifting a bit more, I rest my hand on his chest near my head so that I was a bit more comfortable. The soft fabric of his jacket was a pleasant feeling to touch.

Yet even with the persistent buzzing and chirping of the bugs, I felt my eyes grow heavy. It just felt... nice... being under the stars like this with Exos. With the combination of his hand on my back and the drone of the bugs, I let my eyes close, slowly falling into the soft lull of sleep that I desperately needed.
