I was at work when I got the call from Cole, telling me that Sam was in the hospital. I quickly told my boss I had to leave, and once I found an isolated place, I used my telekinesis to levitate myself all the way to the hospital. When I arrived, I quickly ran to Sam's room, and there he lay, covered in bandages and in a cast.

"Dad?" said Cole from behind me. I quickly hugged him as he began crying.

"Hey, what happened?" I asked.

Cole explained the whole thing to me, and what shocked me the most was that Cole told me he had somehow fought off the super-powered twins. I walked over to Adam, kissed him on the forehead while he was asleep, and then took Cole to the cafeteria.

When Cole told me his story, I could tell that he didn't give me the full truth. He said he somehow fought off the twins but didn't tell me how.

"Cole, out of all four of my kids, you're the most honest and have never lied to me, so tell me the truth. How did you defeat those super-powered twins?" I asked.

Cole sighed and then told me what happened, and it shocked me. I had thought, since Cole wasn't born with any demonic energy, that he would turn out to be a regular human, but it seemed like he was born an enhanced being.

"This doesn't make any sense to me. How can I have powers? I never took that power-giving formula that's been going around," said Cole.

I sighed and then got up to buy a soda. I placed the soda in the middle of the table and then used my telekinesis to pull it to my hand. Cole looked at me, confused.

"You got your power from me. That formula that's been going around is something I was injected with sixteen years ago. I was one of the original test subjects for it," I said.

Cole looked at me, so confused that he didn't say a word for a while until he finally spoke. "So... you had powers this whole time? Why didn't you tell us?" he asked.

"Because I wanted to live a normal life and leave all that stuff behind me. But once I heard that Jon Harrington started distributing the formula, I knew it was only a matter of time until I had to tell you boys the truth," I said.

"I understand, Dad. Does this mean that Sam, Eli, and Henry have powers too?" he asked.

"There's a possibility, but there's no telling when they'll awaken. I think you're only awakened because your body and mind knew how badly you wanted to save your brother. I mean, it was adrenaline that awakened me and most of my friends' powers," I said.

I looked up and saw Tanner coming our way, so I stood up. "Tanner? What are you doing here?" I asked, confused.

"I'm here on official business. The mayor heard about what happened with your boys, so he wants to talk with you," said Tanner.

Tanner then looked at Cole. "I heard you beat those twins' asses. Good job," said Tanner.

Cole smiled.

"Well, where is he?" I asked as I looked around the room.

"Well, he wants both you and Cole to come down to the Mayor's office," said Tanner.

I raised my eyebrow. "My son is in the hospital, and he wants me to just up and leave to go to him?" I asked, confused.

"Bruh, he knows that, but it's important that you go. I knew you'd get riled up about it, so I brought Aries along. He's in Sam's room with him, so he won't be alone when he wakes up," said Tanner.

I didn't like the idea of leaving Sam, but it seemed I didn't have a choice, so Cole and I left with Tanner.

While Sam was unconscious, he began to have dreams reliving all of the events from this morning over and over again until eventually, his eyes flew open, and he realized he was in the hospital.
