Mac trudged through the door, the weight of the day hanging heavily on her shoulders. She kicked off her shoes, letting out a sigh that seemed to release all the tension built up in her muscles. The living room was dimly lit, cozy and inviting.

Ariah, curled up on the couch with a blanket draped over her, looked up and smiled. “Hey, love. Rough day?”

Mac nodded, a small smile breaking through her exhaustion. “You could say that.”

Ariah patted the space next to her. “Come here. Let me help you relax.”

With a grateful sigh, Mac sank onto the couch, her head finding a comfortable spot against Aria’s shoulder. Aria wrapped her arms around Mac, pulling her in close, the warmth of her body a soothing balm.

“Just close your eyes,” Ariah whispered, her fingers gently stroking Mac’s hair. “I’ve got you.”

As Mac nestled deeper into the embrace, the stresses of the day began to melt away, replaced by the quiet comfort of home and the love of her wife.

Just as Mac leaned in, her heart racing with the closeness, the door creaked open. Iyah, their daughter, peeked in, her wide eyes filled with curiosity. “Mommy, what are you doing?”

Mac and Ariah froze, the moment hanging in the air. They exchanged amused glances, stifling laughter.

“Just, uh, practicing for a play!” Ariah said, quickly thinking on her feet.

“Yeah, a play about love,” Mac added, hoping to keep it light.

Iyah giggled, oblivious to the real tension. “Can I join?”

“Of course,” Ariah replied, smiling at her daughter, grateful for the lighthearted interruption. They shifted to make space, wrapping their daughter in their embrace, the earlier moment suspended for another time.

Iyah turned to Mac, her voice soft and sleepy. “Can I sleep with you, Mom?”

Mac smiled warmly. “Of course, sweetheart.”

She shifted, making room as iyah  scooted closer. Mac wrapped her arms around her daughter, feeling the familiar warmth and comfort of having her close.

“Goodnight, Mom, Good night Mama” iyah murmured, her eyelids fluttering.

“Goodnight, my love,” Mac whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead.

With Iyah nestled against her, Mac felt a sense of peace wash over her, the stresses of the day fading away in the cozy embrace of her family.

Just as they were settling in, the door opened again, and their firstborn peeked in, a hopeful expression on her face. “Can I join too?”

Ariah chuckled softly, making room. “Of course! There’s always space for you.”

With a big grin, she climbed in beside her Mom, Iyah, and Mac wrapped her arms around all three girls.

“Now it’s a full house!” Ariah giggled, adjusting the blanket.

“Best family cuddle ever,” their firstborn said, her eyes twinkling.

As they nestled together, Mac felt a warmth envelop them, the perfect ending to a long day.

Morning sunlight streamed through the kitchen windows as Aria and Mac hurriedly sipped their coffee. “Are you ready for today?” Aria asked, glancing at the clock.

“Just about,” Mac replied, grabbing her bag.

Down the hall, Wen and Iya were getting ready for school, laughter echoing as they raced each other. The private driver waited outside, the car polished and ready.

“Okay, girls! Time to go!” Ariah called.

Wen and Iya dashed out, with the driver holding the door open for them. Meanwhile, Aria and Mac shared a quick kiss before heading out to their own cars.

At the mansion, Manang Lucy  was already bustling around, preparing breakfast. “I’ll make sure everything is ready for when you all return,” she promised.

With a wave, Aria and Mac headed to work, confident their girls were in good hands.

As Iya and Wen hopped into the car, their yaya settled into the backseat with them, a reassuring presence. “Ready for school, Iya?” she asked, smoothing the girl’s hair.

“Yes, Yaya!” Iya beamed, excitement sparkling in her eyes.

The driver started the engine, and they set off. In the front seat, Wen turned to her sister. “Let’s make today awesome!”

Yaya smiled at their chatter, reminding them, “Don’t forget your lunchboxes!”

As the car approached the school, Wen and Iya chatted excitedly about their day ahead.

“I can’t wait for art class!” Wen said, her eyes sparkling. “We’re painting today.”

Iya nodded enthusiastically. “And I want to play on the swings at recess!”

Yaya smiled, listening to their chatter, her heart warmed by their excitement. “You both will have so much fun. Remember to share and help each other.”

As they pulled up to the school, the driver parked near the entrance. “Here we are!” he announced.

Wen and Iya quickly gathered their bags, bursting with energy as they hopped out of the car. “Bye, Yaya!” they called, waving as they raced toward the school entrance.

“Have a great day!” Yaya replied, watching them go with a proud smile before turning to the driver. “Let’s head back home.”
