POV: Milk
"She kissed me...
and called out my name.
I felt her immense love....
Who wouldn't wake up to that?"
Then suddenly, I saw Love right before my very eyes.
Months later, after my recovery, I went down on one knee, holding out the most beautiful diamond ring, pouring my heart out as I made my sweetest confession.
"We've been through so much, and I am so blessed to see the sun shine back into my life. You are my childhood sweetheart, my ultimate goal, my heart's true desire..."
Suddenly, my mind went blank. I was at a loss for words. My breathing slowed.
I forced myself to continue...
"You are the only love I've ever known."
After I said those words, a constant beeping echoed inside my head, followed by the deafening sound of a heart monitor indicating a flatline.
"Milk, wake up," I heard that voice again, speaking right through me.
Then suddenly, it stopped, and I continued,
"Will you marry me?"

POV: Love
Flashback
The patient flatlined after receiving that peculiar medication. I was on the verge of a violent outburst, ready to charge and confront the quack doctor responsible, but tall nurses blocked my path, preventing me from reaching her.
Dr. Kapook immediately stepped in, preparing to revive the patient. But once again, Ciize, showing not the slightest sign of panic despite the danger she had caused, did the most senseless and foolish thing imaginable. She softly called the patient's name, kissed her gently, and then, as if everything was normal, turned her back on Milk, knowing full well she had brought her back to life.
I managed to break free from the nurses' grip. Just as the patient's eyes fluttered open, I cradled her in both arms and whispered, "Panly, you're back!" before pulling her into a tight embrace.
After that day, I never saw even a glimpse of that audacious little doctor again.

Months after her recovery, Panly proposed to me, and I wholeheartedly, willingly accepted. We were perfect for each other, so happy and fulfilled. In that moment, I felt like we were on top of the universe, sparkling like orbiting stars.
Everything returned to normal as we threw ourselves into planning and preparing for our wedding next year, as if that ordeal had never happened. I hadn't given it a second thought until Panly began acting stranger than usual, just a week before our wedding day, speaking and acting in ways I could hardly make sense of.
"Did you just call me by another name?" Panly asked absentmindedly, as if her mind was elsewhere, talking to someone I couldn't see.
"What do you mean, Panly?" I responded with a calm, joking tone, trying to pull her out of whatever world she was in. "Do you want me to start calling you a pet name now? My love, my sweetheart, my... hubby? You choose."
At that, she seemed to light up, her attention finally back on me where it belonged. Of course, I had everything under control, as always. I knew she was head over heels for me—her true love, the one who deserved her undying affection.
I gently rested my head on her shoulder, feeling her warmth, but then she started acting strange again, brushing her hair repeatedly as if she'd picked up some new habit. It irritated me, especially since I hated seeing her anxious.
"Why do you keep doing that? You're fidgeting too much, it's an eyesore," I said.
"What? I'm not doing anything," she replied defensively.
"You obviously are. You keep touching your hair, brushing it with your hand."
Suddenly, she became self-conscious, fighting the urge to do it again.
The next day, every meal we had had tomatoes in it. Tomato salad, pasta with tomatoes, salmon with tomatoes—an endless array of dishes I couldn't have imagined. She even ordered something off-menu and insisted on tomato juice. After that, she had tomatoes delivered to her house almost daily.
"You've never been this into tomatoes before, especially not in everything you eat. It's like you own a tomato farm and are trying to promote your crop," I said, keeping my composure despite the growing annoyance.
"Oh, that's a wonderful idea! I'd love to have my own tomato field—"
"Stop it, will you? That was sarcasm, not a suggestion," I snapped.
She fell silent instantly, knowing that if she didn't, there'd be consequences she wasn't eager to face.
