POV: Ciize
After completing my 10th surgery at MCV Hospital—yes, you read that right, a medical and surgical hospital co-owned by Mrs. Vosbein, Milk, and myself—I was finally off duty and eager to get home to prepare something special for my one and only.
As I hurried into our cozy home and opened the door, I was instantly greeted by our two handsome fur babies, all dressed up so adorably.
"You guys look so handsome & pretty tonight! Why are you all dressed up, Pookpik and Sugus? Did your—" Before I could finish my sentence and the countless questions swirling in my mind, another sight stopped me in my tracks. There she was, my wife, standing there with her dazzling smile that I adore so much, wearing... just a sports bra and a red apron, evoking all the emotions connected to love, passion, and desire. Or, to put it simply, she was stunning in her lovely apron.
"Honey, you're home early! I was just setting everything up to surprise you," she said shyly, covering her face. She seemed embarrassed that I had caught her mid-preparation for what I assumed was her romantic anniversary surprise for me.
I couldn't resist. I rushed to her, embracing her tightly, showering her with a thousand sweet kisses. "Thank you, my love. My ever-loving wife, greener than any forest in the entire universe, even extending beyond Pluto." I hadn't even realized she was lifting me slightly to match our heights as I expressed my gratitude for her romantic gesture.
"Well, what can I say? You bring out the best in me, honey. You even bring out my romantic side," she laughed bashfully, like a smitten teenager on her first date.
"I was planning to surprise you, but it seems you beat me to it. I was being my noble doctor self, saving lives all day, and almost came home late." Before I could finish, she gently placed a finger on my lips, silencing me, and then kissed me softly.
"It doesn't matter," she said. "No matter how busy you are, I know in my heart that my wife will always come home to me." She winked, knowing just how to charm me with that irresistible flirtation that she saves only for me.
"I'll help you set the table," I offered, releasing myself from her embrace, but then I noticed the table was already perfectly set, with roses scattered around and a feast of delicious food that looked... homemade?
