ALICE POV:

She's so sweet to me,also kind I can't bring myself to reject her. She's going all out to win me over, and honestly, I find myself drawn to her kindness.

"Seriously pei Ano ka ba " I muttered to myself, sinking deeper into my office chair. Just then, a tap on the door startled me.

"Come in, the door's open!" I called.

The door opened, revealing Senator Risa, a familiar red bag from McDonald's in her hand. "Oh, my favorite!" I breathed, and she caught my words.

"Yeah, it's your favorite. Let's have lunch." she offered, a smile on her face.

"Really, is this for me?" I asked, my eyebrows shooting up.

"Of course! I bought it for you."

"Thanks, Sen.."

"No worries, as long as I'm still pursuing you."

" Hmm gutom na Po Ako" I confessed, my stomach rumbling in agreement.

"Okay, wait a sec, darling." She reached for the bag.

"Darling? We're not exactly a couple yet! kapal mo ha" I teased, my cheeks warming slightly.

But is there a chance we could be?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with hope.

"Wala pero alam ko I'm starving, Senator. Let's eat!"

While we were enjoying our meal, she couldn't seem to tear her gaze away from me. I couldn't help but notice, a blush creeping up my cheeks.

"Kain na titig ka ng titig" I urged, feeling a bit self-conscious under her intense scrutiny.

"I can't help it, Pei. You're simply too captivating to look away from, even for a moment," she confessed, her eyes sparkling with admiration.

"Oh Talaga ba" I teased, trying to lighten the mood, but my heart thumped a little faster.

"Am I joking? I'm not," she insisted, her voice a soft whisper.

"But you've been staring since we sat down," I pointed out, feeling a touch flustered by her unwavering attention.

Suddenly, the sound of a knock broke the spell. "Senator, hold on, I'll get the door. You closed it earlier," I said, getting up to greet whoever was outside.

"Sige lang" she replied, her gaze still fixed on me.

As I opened the door, I was surprised to find my persistent suitor, Mayor Dong Calugay, the charismatic leader of Sual, Panggasinan. He's been pursuing me for a while, but my heart just wasn't in it.

"Oh, Mayor Liseldo, anong ginagawa mo po dito" I greeted him politely, hoping to keep the encounter brief.

"Ah, Governor, just dropping by. Is that a problem?" He handed me a bouquet of flowers, his smile a little too wide for my liking.

"Ah, these are lovely, but what are they for?" I asked, my brows furrowed slightly.

For you, Ms. Guo alam mo naman gusto kita" he replied, his eyes unwavering, making me feel even more uncomfortable.
