Risa Pov:

We were a week into our Thai adventure madami na din Akong na offeran Ng proposal Sa Business and it was time for a change of scenery. Alice and I needed more space, so I decided to find us a condo. We found a lovely one just a stone's throw from our hotel.

"Ms. it's second floor?" I asked the woman who was renting us the condo.

"Yes,Maam here's the key card," she replied with a welcoming smile.

Before I could reach for the key card, Alice whisked it away from her.

"Tara na Ngalay na tong kamay ko Sa Kakabuhat Ng Mga to" she said with a playful smirk. She had been carrying both our luggage, and I was starting to feel guilty.

I remained silent as we stepped onto the elevator. Once we arrived at our new haven, I quickly reached for my suitcase.

"Let me take that. I'll carry it. akin na "

"Buti naman" she said with a playful eye roll. "Kung kanina mo pa binuhat di okay Ngalay na kamay ko Dito oh"

Once we finally reached our second-floor haven, we stepped inside the condo. It was cozy, with two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a living room that was a bit on the small side but comfortable enough for us. Each room even had its own bathroom, which was a bonus.

"okay na to" I said, placing my luggage down.

"akin Yung left room Sayo Po Yung Right" Alice decided.

"Let's rest," I suggested, as it was already 5 pm. We had been on the go all day!

We took a well-deserved 3-hour nap in our separate rooms and woke up at 9 pm.

As if on cue, we both emerged from our rooms at the same time.

"Alice?"

"gutom ako" she admitted.

"Well, then cook something," I joked.

" okay" she said with a playful eye roll and headed straight for the kitchen. We had stocked up on groceries earlier, including some meats, enough to last us for two weeks.

I settled onto the couch in the living room and waited for her to work her culinary magic.

As I sat there, I could hear her watching a YouTube tutorial on how to make chicken adobo. I stood up to take a peek and saw her preparing the chicken at the counter, her iPad displaying the tutorial.

"Oh, my gosh, Tong babae na to can't even cook!" I exclaimed under my breath.

I couldn't help but watch her every move, then retreated back to the living room to check my phone. About 6 minutes later, I smelled something burning.

I leaped from the couch and raced to the kitchen. Alice was frantically trying to close the stove.

"Alice,Nasusunog na " I shouted.

"I'm so sorry... poo... Hindi ko Po natansya" she pleaded like a child, holding up the pan where the chicken had started to char.

"gutom na ako then sinunog mo pa what are we going to do na? " I sighed in frustration.

We stared at each other, our only option was to eat the slightly burnt chicken adobo. She served me a plate of rice and piled on the adobo.
