Chapter 39 You want it ? again

Theresia Pov :

Yey it's Sunday  na Wala akong gagawin kung Hindi tumunganga Lang dito sa Bahay

I'm practically glued to the couch, doing absolutely nothing.  The only movement I'm making is shifting from one side to the other, trying to find a comfortable spot.

After a late brunch, I finally dragged myself out of bed and headed to the garden. I have this whole plantita thing going on – you know, all those pretty flowers and plants.

  As I'm digging around in the soil, Dina comes up to me and whispers that Alice is at the gate. She's brought her car, and the guard has let her in.

I pretend to be completely blind, and I settle down on a bench in the garden.

"andito na naman" I mutter under my breath,  just as I hear her squinty-eyed voice.  My god, I can't believe she's actually here.

"Hi," she says, beaming at me with that wide, ear-to-ear smile.

She’s about to give me a hug, but I stand up and step back and I suddenly push her

"Sorry, andiyan ka pala pupunta sana ako sa loob magpapatulong Kay dina" I say,  and I accidentally nudge her slightly.

"Wow,ha " she says,  “kala mo Naman di ako naramdaman na paparating?  Anyway, what's the task today?"  She knows I'm not going to let her off the hook.

"Seriously?  Tinatanong pa ba yan? "  I roll my eyes and pat her shoulder.

"Hmpp sige na talo na ako" she mumbles,  but her tone is lighthearted.

"Alright, you’re in charge today. Help me to my room. I need to get dressed. We're going to church and then to the park."

Before she can grab my hands, I interrupt her
“Wait a minute.  Make sure your hands are clean," I tell her.  I'm not going to let her touch me with those grubby hands.

"Yes, madam, malinis Po " she replies, and she rolls her eyes. Her squinty,  chink-like eyes look even more narrow when she gets sassy.

"Nana-naray ka ba ?" I ask, holding her arms. I look her directly in the eyes.

"Ah, no, I mean, let’s go,na Po baka IBA pa maapakan mo" she stammers.

She helps me as we make our way upstairs to my room.  She closes the door behind us.

I dress in an elegant suit—a long-sleeved white polo shirt with a milky white, sleeveless blazer, white trousers, and matching flat sandals.

When I'm finished getting dressed, I check my phone.  It’s already 12:34.  I've spent 32 minutes putting on my outfit, and she got here at 12:00.

Ugh, she's so perfect, it's annoying.  Having her around makes me feel like I have a personal assistant.

As I get up to leave the room, I call out to Alice.  “Hey, Alice!  Where are you?  Let’s go! Na"  I shout down the stairs, holding onto the railing.

"Wait! Po  I'm coming!" she shouts back, running toward me.

My goodness, this girl is slow!

AT THE PARK SCENE

The service ended, and we walked out into the sunshine, the air alive with the chirping of birds and the distant hum of traffic.  The park beckoned, a kaleidoscope of green, and Risa, ever the demanding queen, guided me towards a shaded bench beneath a towering oak.
