Chapter 33 – The call of ancestors.

Marcys Savage

Uncover the chapter of your ancestors.

That was what Abigail told me to do, but it might be harder than she made it out to be. I don't really know anything about my ancestors or my bloodline. The only thing I have is an ancient amulet. A necklace with a red ruby. I gave my only friend the amulet for safe keeping. The only person I've ever loved and trusted.

Before Luka that is.

I remember Alaska telling me that he had a fascination with some bloodlines, and their history, including mine. That's why I've found myself currently standing inside his chamber, waiting for him to return. I'm hoping that he can shine some light on my bloodline's history, after all he did say he was most fascinated with the Savage born bloodline.

Alaska' girly squeal fills the once silent chamber, as he makes his entrance.

"Holy fuck" He swears under his breath, while holding his hand above his heart, pretending some kind of heart attack. I frown at his reaction in distaste, before shaking my head at his dramatic demeanor.

"You need to stop appearing everywhere, someday you're going to kill me with your list"

I roll my eyes. "Well, that doesn't sound so bad" I say, my voice dripping with sarcasm.

He scoffs insulted, with a dry humorless laugh. "So, what have I done this time to be so lucky to be graced with your presence?"

"I remembered something you once said" I pause, watching as his eyebrows raise. "Something about your fascination with my bloodline"

He nods in understanding. "I'm pleased to know you actually listen to what comes out of my mouth" He says, as if I'm such a terrible listener. I roll my eyes at him with an annoyed huff.

"So ..." I drag out the word.

He nods hurriedly, before scurrying to one of his many dressers. He rummaged in the old brown dresser, before his face erupt into a delighted massive grin, as he apparently found what he was searching for. In his hands is a very worn-out book that looks to be older than the shifters existence. He blows on the cover, making a lot of dust fly everywhere, including right into my face. I cough and wave my hand in front of my face to get rid of the flying dust.

I scowl at him and wipe my face with the back of my hand. He sends me an apologetic look, which makes me huff angrily.

"I don't have much about your bloodline, but I have this ancient book that my ancestors found. It has been handed down in our family for centuries. It's kind of a legacy, I guess you could call it" He shrug with a small frown, before handing me the heavy book.

I scan it heatedly, taking notice of every little detail the book has to present. The book is even heavier than it looked, and from the side you can see the many thick pages.

The black leather has scratches showing its long existence. I run my fingertip along the leather smoothing it out a little and trace the round circle in the middle. The circle is large in size, and bumpy to the touch. The circle is made by two wolf heads swirling, before meeting in the small round circle in the heart of the circling wolves.

The large circle is made, so you can twist it around, which seems to be how you unlock the book. The glass like circle in the heart is lower than the wolves circle and has an out washed scarlet red hue.

Alaska clears his throat, successfully gaining my attention. I raise my gaze from the book clutched in my hands to his intense gaze.

"How did you gain access to it?" I ask him, having wondered that question since he picked it up from the dresser.
