As everyone gathered in the center of the room, the air was filled with an eager tension. Mike stood up, stretching a bit before looking around at his clanmates. He smirked, folding his arms across his chest.
Mike: "Alright, so... who wants to participate for the Trainer role?"
The room went quiet for a moment. Everyone exchanged glances, a bit unsure whether to speak up yet. Esme, sitting across from Mike, furrowed his brow, his mind still processing the previous conversation.
Esme: "Wait a minute... didn't you say we could wait until Eren and Rishi return?"
Mike turned to Esme, giving him a knowing look, his smile never fading.
Mike: "Yeah, I did. But we might as well get things rolling. I mean, they're out recruiting, and it could take a while, especially if they get competitive, knowing those two."
Esme sat up straighter, considering Mike's point. He couldn't deny that waiting indefinitely for Eren and Rishi might slow their progress.
Esme: "But don't you think they deserve a chance to be part of this? They might want to compete too, especially for the Trainer role."
Mike chuckled softly, pacing a bit as he spoke.
Mike: "True, but here's the thing, Esme. We need to keep the momentum going. The clan needs roles filled, and the sooner we get Trainers, Masters, and Grandmasters, the sooner we can properly train and organize everyone."
Hakai, who had been silently observing, chimed in.
Hakai: "Mike has a point. We can't just sit around waiting forever. If we start now, Eren and Rishi will still have chances at the higher roles like Master or Grandmaster when they return."
Yuki, sitting with his arms folded, nodded in agreement.
Yuki: "Plus, with the way those two are, they'll probably show up with a whole army of recruits by the time they get back. They'll have their hands full with the new members anyway."
Esme looked thoughtful but still wasn't entirely convinced.
Esme: "I just don't want them to feel left out. We're supposed to be doing this as a team."
Ace leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees.
Ace: "Esme, you've always been the one to look out for everyone. But maybe we need to trust that Eren and Rishi are focusing on what's best for the clan too. If they miss this round, they'll be back stronger than ever for the next one."
Esme sighed, glancing around the room. Everyone seemed to be on the same page, eager to push forward and not lose any more time. Even though a part of him still wanted to wait, Esme couldn't deny the logic behind their points.
Esme: "Alright, fine. But if they want to challenge for the roles later, we'll make room for them, right?"
Mike gave him a reassuring grin, clapping him on the back.
Mike: "Of course. We're not shutting anyone out, just setting the foundation."
Esme nodded, feeling a bit better about the situation. Mike turned to the group again, energy building in his voice.
Mike: "Okay then! For those of you here, who's in for the Trainer role? Remember, this is a key position. You'll be responsible for training and improving the skills of new recruits and weaker members. It's no small job."
