Mike: "𝘗𝘦𝘢𝘬... 𝘌𝘢𝘴𝘵?"
He repeated the words, disbelief in his tone. "You’re actually going there?"
Esme’s face remained stoic, and without a second glance, he spoke softly, almost as if he were reassuring himself. "I’ve to go now, I’m sorry."
Mike’s brow furrowed. "Do you even know the route? What are you going to do when you get there?" The urgency in his voice only grew as he stood, walking toward Esme. "You can't just disappear like this!"
Esme turned slightly, his voice calm yet firm. "Don’t bother about it. It’s my duty."
The gravity of his words hung in the air, but Mike wasn’t about to let him go without a fight.
"Just take care of the clan till then. Always stay together with the members. Have Samuel with you; he’d be the best choice for your protection of the clans too."
Mike tried to reason with him, stepping closer. "Bro, this isn’t some small thing. If you're going, you're going to be gone for at least a month, maybe more. What’s the point? What are you even thinking?"
Esme’s eyes were unwavering. "I told you, don’t bother about it."
Mike paused, concern deepening.
"Bro, did you forget about the contractual month? It’s next month, right? If Muzan signs, you know what’s going to happen. We don’t want you to be separated from us when something like that goes down."
Esme, without any sign of hesitation, shook his head.
"I won’t repeat again, let me go."
With that, he turned and started walking towards the door. He grabbed Drishti’s body, his face unreadable.
Hakai, who had been silent up to this point, didn’t even blink at Esme’s actions. He simply continued to sit, his expression unreadable.
Mike turned to the others, his mind racing. "What’s happening?" Ace was the first to speak.
Ace: "What’s going on? Where’s he going?"
Yuki’s eyes widened. "Is he... going to the graveyard?"
Mike nodded, trying to keep his voice steady. "Yeah, he said he’s going to Peak-East."
The room went silent, as everyone processed the words.
Kind was the first to react. "WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?"
Mike’s voice grew more intense. "He said they’re the ones who murdered Drishti."
A tense silence followed, and then Mike added, "He said he’s going to avenge them."
Hakai stood up, his usual calm demeanor cracking for a moment as he turned to face Mike.
"Bro, do you even know what that place is like? No one else from Peakwest does."
"𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘢 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱, 𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦... 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭. 𝘞𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦, 𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦. This is bad. We lost Alan just like that?"
