Bucky's POV:
Steve's arrival in Wakanda caught me off guard. When I saw him, standing there with that familiar shield slung over his shoulder, it was like a wave of memories crashing over me. I had been through hell, lost and found myself, but Steve had always been the one constant, the one person who believed in me when I couldn't believe in myself.
"Steve," I said, my voice gruff with emotion.
He crossed the distance between us in a few strides, pulling me into a tight embrace. No words were needed. He knew what this moment meant—what it had taken for me to get here. He pulled back, his eyes scanning me as if to confirm that I was truly okay.
"You look good, Buck," he said, his voice thick with relief.
"Feels good... to be me again," I replied, glancing at my new arm. It felt like a part of me, not a tool of destruction.
"I knew you could do it," Steve said, his gaze steady. "You just needed the right chance."

We spent the afternoon reminiscing, talking about the battles we'd fought, the friends we'd lost. It was bittersweet, but there was a comfort in sharing those memories with Steve. He had been there through it all, and now, sitting here with him, it felt like coming full circle.
"We've been through hell, Steve," I said, staring out at the horizon. "But somehow... we're still here."
Steve nodded, his expression thoughtful. "Because we don't know how to give up. And we never will."
We sat in silence for a while, letting the weight of our past settle around us. It wasn't something to be forgotten or ignored, but something we had to live with and learn from.

Later, Steve turned to Emily, his expression one of gratitude. "Thank you," he said quietly. "For being there for him. For giving him a reason to keep fighting."
Emily smiled, her eyes meeting mine. "We found our strength in each other," she replied.
Steve smiled, a rare sight these days. "You both deserve this. A future. A life."
He was right. We were starting a new chapter, not just for ourselves but for the world we wanted to protect. And for the first time in a long time, I felt a sense of hope, of possibility.
