[Welcome back to SENSES.]

Kin materialized in the park where he had last logged out. Players and NPCs alike gathered, filling the air with lively conversations.

"You saw yesterday's incident? Several soldiers gave a salute to a player."

"Yeah, I saw it. What happened?"

"Nobody knows. But heard this morning Major Glav is looking for that player."

"Aaaa that's why I noticed more soldiers than usual patrolling the city."

Kin who heard the conversation realized they were talking about him. Why are they looking for me? Nothing seemed unusual about the quest he'd completed. He ignored the problem with the soldier and started walking away from the garden and towards the blacksmith's workshop.

He arrived at one of the blacksmith workshops in the city. This workshop belongs to Kajiya, a blacksmith NPC. And Kin quite often takes quests from him. And now Kin's relationship with him has reached its maximum. Kajiya, who is quite short, and thin but has wrists and hands that look too big compared to his body standing in front of the furnace. Fire sparks came out from the furnace as he was burning a metal he was holding.

In SENSES, only players who have jobs as blacksmiths, tailors, or other production jobs have the skills to check the details and quality of dropped monster items. Apart from that job, they need help from other production jobs, both players and NPCs, to be able to check information from items. Usually, there is a fee for each item checked.

"Hey, Kaj. Kaj... Kajiya." Kin called but he didn't hear it. Kajiya took the metal out of the furnace and hit the metal with a hammer. He was so concentrated that he didn't notice Kin's presence. Then Kin called louder but Kajiya still could not hear him. Kin couldn't wait anymore and he entered the workshop and patted Kajiya on the shoulder.

Kajiya stopped swinging his hammer and looked at Kin. "Hey Kin, what's wrong? Why didn't you call me?"

Kin shook his head in disbelief. "I've called you out many times, you're too serious about your metal."

Kajiya chuckled, showing his white teeth. "Hihihi, sorry about that. I was too serious. How can I help you?"

Kin took out a black wolf skin from his bag. "Can you appraise this item?"

Kin gave the skin to Kajiya. "It costs 1 silver. Appraisal"

Kajiya noticed the black wolf skin that Kin gave a special item. He put a piece of paper on the black wolf's skin. A few seconds later, some writing can be seen on the paper. Kajiya checked the result from his appraisal. He remained silent for a moment with his mouth open.

"Where did you get this, Kin?" Kajiya asked, eyebrows raised.

"From a quest in one of the caves near this city gate. Why? Is there something odd?" Kin panicked a little.

Kajiya shaked his head. "No, nothing wrong. It's just this is the first time I've seen the status of an item that has the element of darkness." Kajiya gives Kin the result of his appraisal and a notification pops out in front of Kin.

[Black Wolf Skin]

[Rating: Rare]

[The skin of a large black wolf that generally lives near hell. This skin contains a little element of darkness. When crafting armor using this skin, the armor created will have a little extra resistance to the elements of darkness.]

Kin went silent when he saw the explanation from the black wolf skin. After a while, he asked Kaija. "How much could this sell for?"

Kaija cannot answer quickly. He crossed his arms and contemplated. "I've never seen any item with this level of resistance to darkness. But if at auction it could reach 40,000 gold even though the rating is only rare. But I don't know. Though its market value could vary since there are rarely monsters with the darkness element."

Kin beamed at the thought of the fortune he'd make."Thanks Kaj. I also want to check other things."

Preparing to offer another item, Kin halted, contemplating aloud, "Does appraisal require special items or materials?"

"Nope, just mana," Kajiya replied.

Kin decided to use his Assist skill.

[Assist level 1]

[Have skills from 1 NPC for 60 minutes.

Skill required: none.

Skill cooldown: 60 minutes.]

[Assist with NPC Kaija.]

Kin opens the list of skills he has. Then he took out Varulv the dark werewolf's claws from his bag. He put a paper on top of the claw and used the skill 'Appraisal'.

[Appraisal level 3]

[Can check the status of an item. The user's Dex will affect the appraisal. The higher the item rating, the higher the Dex required.

Skill requires: 1,000 mana.

Skill cooldown: 1 minute]

[Appraisal used to claws of Varulv the dark werewolf]

[Appraisal failed]

Kin read the explanation from the skill appraisal. He realized that Dex affected his ability. Kin realized his Dex fell short compared to a blacksmith's standards. Then he took out the Black Wolf Skin which was before being appraised by Kaija. Kin tried to appraise the Black Wolf Skin after the 'Appraisal skill' cooldown was over.

[Appraisal is used to Black Wolf Skin]

[Appraisal successful]

[Black Wolf Skin]

[Rating: Rare]

[The skin of a large black wolf that generally lives near hell. This skin contains a little element of darkness. When crafting armor using this skin, the armor created will have a little extra resistance to the elements of darkness.]

I can check for items with a rare rating, most likely Varulv the dark werewolf's claw has a rating of more than rare. Kin then handed the claws of Varulv the dark werewolf to Kaija.

"Please appraise this item." Kin gave 1 silver as payment for appraisal services.

Kaija gaped bigger than before his hand trembling as he viewed the findings. Then he showed the appraisal results to Kin.

[Cakar Varulv the dark werewolf]

[Rating: Super Rare]

[Claws from Varulv the dark werewolf, the first guardian monster to hell. This claw contains elements of darkness. When crafting a weapon using this claw, the crafted weapon will have additional attack power with the power of the element of darkness.]

Now Kin gaped like Kaija. While Kin looked like that, Kaija asked Kin excitedly. "Kin, where did you get these things? "This is the first time I've found an item that can release the power of the darkness element."

"I... um... sorry Kaj, next time I'll tell you." Kin suttedpanicking. He took the claws that were held by Kaija, then turned around andleft Kaija's workshop. Kaija's voice rose from his workshop calling Kin. ButKin ignored him and quickly left. He walked down the city streets withoutknowing where he was going.
