Kin and Clark were finally able to see the fences and houses of the Dorf village. They entered the village and headed straight towards the house of the village head, Mogsa. When they arrived in front of Mogasa's house they shouted in unison, "Mogsa, the goblins are gone!"
Their voices can be heard by other villagers living around Mogsa's house. There was no response, Kin and Clark shouted once again. "Mogsa. We managed to kill all the goblins. No need to worry you will be looted again and damaged this village."
Villagers began to see through the windows of their houses. Not long after, Mogsa opened the door and looked in disbelief at Kin and Clark. "Is it true?"
"Yes, we defeated them all including their leader." Clark calmly gave the answer Mogsa wanted.
The old man approached Kin and Clark and embraced them. "Thank you very much for saving our village."
The villagers who had been watching them slowly came out of their houses and walked towards Kin and Clark. Some of them patted Kin and Clark's shoulders or backs and some bowed their heads a little and showed how grateful they were. Kin felt a bit embarrassed being surrounded. He recalled the incident when many soldiers saluted him at the west gate of the Danem city after killing Varulv. Kin realized how important what they were doing for the villagers.
Even though this is just a game and they are not real people, I still feel very happy.
Once the excitement settled, Kin looked at Clark and gave a nod.
"Hopefully there won't be any other problems. We have to go to the Stolitsa City." Clark then took a few steps back and turned around. Kin lowered his head slightly then turned around and followed Clark.
Mogsa tries to stop them. "You two stop for a moment. Is there nothing we can offer in return for your help?"
Clark looked at Kin, then Kin approached Mogsa and said, "We don't need anything, we are just travelers. Let's just say two travelers want to Tzami City but need to Stolitsa City to find any mercenary or anyone to help these two travelers, but before that, they run to your village and just do a good deed. We wish you well."
Kin and Clark walked while waving leaving the village and its villagers. After Kin and Clark were no longer visible, Mogsa suddenly ran. "Hey, if you go to Tzami City just the two of you, it's dangerous! Go with our resident and his friends who will be back in four days. Hey!"
But Kin and Clark couldn't hear Mogsa's screams. They continued walking until they couldn't see Dorf Village anymore.
Kin and Clark return to the main road to Stolitsa CIty. When they returned to the road it was night already, so they made camp. While preparing food and a tent to rest, they discussed the best way for Kin to develop his job.
"You have to decide what kind of Kin you will be in the future. Just as a fighter or do you want to make items or even become a magician?" Clark insists while he prepares a tent for them.
"Well, I still think it would be better if I distribute my status as a fighter. But isn't it better if I can make my own weapons or armor?" Kin explained his reason after he managed to light the fire for cooking.
"I understand why you want that, but just learning various weapons takes a long time. And on top of that, if you want to do some crafting or use some magic, I think it will be impossible."
"Hmmm... Your reason makes sense, but I will still try to develop my production skills because it is useful. Here's an example." Kin used 'Assist' on a chef NPC he knew. And he looked for a recipe according to the ingredients they had and started cooking quickly.
Clark looked at Kin's cooking speed while showing how impressed he was. "Yes, abilities like this are very helpful. How about you focus on fighting skills first? After that, you start to develop your production skills, and then you start developing your status accordingly. How about that?"
"I think I will do it like that. Apart from that, I think my status right now is already good enough for minimum production." The sizzling sound from Kin's pan became back sound of their conversation.
Clark had finished setting up their tent. "Then starting tomorrow we will try to practice using a greatsword. That's the only other weapon I can teach you."
"How about switching weapons every day between one-hand sword and greatsword? I think it will be better." Clark nodded in agreement to Kin's suggestion.
Kin finished his cooking. Clark already stands by to eat beside him. Kin handed over the food he had made. "Let's eat."
Kin and Clark eat and rest for the day. The next day their training begins again, but now Clark teaches Kin to use a greatsword. Starting from teaching attack patterns, how to swing, and how to carry out follow-up attacks. Then in the afternoon, they walked towards the city of Stolitsa and in the afternoon trained by fighting monsters. Kin is not yet used to using a greatsword because it is much heavier than a normal sword and every swing without the right strength and momentum will mash up the attack pattern. Kin can't be as skilled as when using a normal sword. Even so, he was still enthusiastic with his practice.
They had walked for 6 days after leaving Dorf village and finally, the Stolitsa city gate could be seen. A tall gate made of neat white stone was visible to them. As they got closer, they could see a bridge crossing the river which provided natural protection before anyone could enter the gate made of steel. Kin entered the gate and saw a very spacious and neat city with buildings made of stone but still felt green because there were various kinds of large trees along the roads in the city. The architecture of this city is more or less the same as the architecture in Danem City. But the buildings here are taller and there are lots of big trees here unlike in Danem City where big trees only exist in a few areas. So many people pass by on the city streets.
Kin, who had been silent in amazement, finally woke up because of Clark's tap on his shoulder. "Welcome to your first big city, Kin. This is Stolitsa city, the capital of the Royaume kingdom, the leader of the central continent."
