Starting from that afternoon Kin's training began. They went to the forest to find any monsters. They found a Roster again but it held a one-hand sword.
Clark pointed it. "Now Kin. Fight that one."
Kin swallowed his saliva. His actions show how nervous he was. The sword came out from Kin's waist. Then he walked toward the Roster (Sword). He held his sword straight so the chicken monster could not suddenly attack Kin.
Clark watched Kin from behind. "Relax Kin. You can do it. If anything happens I'm here to help. Just try to aim your attack before you start to attack."
Kin listened to Clark's instructions. He aimed his sword at Roster (Sword)'s chest. The Roster (Sword) only looked at Kin with caution. It didn't try to attack Kin because Rosters is not an aggressive monster so they won't attack unless they are being attacked.
Finally Kin made his first move by taking a long step to get near the Roster. He pushed his sword to pierce Roster (Sword)'s chest. His attack hit it. Kin's attack made the monster push back a little. After that Roster (Sword) looked at Kin and screamed. "Kukuruyuk"
It shocked Kin and the Roster (Sword) attacked Kin. It attacked Kin's face but while still in panic he succeeded in covering his face with his shield. The Roster took a step back a little and after that, it swung its sword again. It aimed at Kin's face again and Kin's shield once again succeeded in blocking the attack. The last attack made Kin afraid to put down his shield but because of it, he could not see where his enemy was.
Clark started to give some instructions. "You block your vision Kin. Take a step back and put down your shield. Don't just swing your sword aimlessly."
Like a student following a teacher's instruction, Kin took a step back and slowly put down his shield. The Roster (Sword) was still a couple of steps in front of Kin. Kin tried to aim his attack once again. Aim first then attack.
After aiming his attack Kin took a long step again right when the roster jumped to attack him. Kin faster. His attack hit the roster thigh first made the roster of balance and fell head-first. Without any delay Kin attacked, slashing the Roster (Sword) back until it shattered into dust.
[Roster (Sword) is dead.]
[You killed Roster (Sword). You get 3,000 exp, 1 roster meat.]
Clark applauded as he approached Kin. "Congratulations, you killed it."
"Don't mock me."
"I'm not mocking you. I congratulate you because you kill it not with a random attack or using any skill." Clark tried to encourage Kin.
It made Kin shy. "Thanks, Clark. But any comments?"
Clark crossed his hand. "Your attack was good. You aimed it first before attacking. That is a good start. But... but when you were being attacked. Unconsciously you cover your head with your shield and hold it in front of your face. That action makes you block your vision. That's why sometimes you just need to take a step back or try to avoid the attack."
Kin interrupted Clark's explanation. "I'm afraid."
"I know. And it's a good thing. That feeling will make you take every step with caution. But you can try to avoid the attack so you won't get hit. Right now I think you should start from attack and then take a step back and minimize using your shield. With that, I hope you start to know when you should attack and take a step back." Clark tried to read Kin's expression. It showed that Kin could not understand anything Clark said.
"Ok, I'll show you." Clark pulled out his sword with one hand. Then he took a single step and swung his sword. After that, he took a step back to where he was. He did it again once again but right now he pierce into the air and then takes another step back to where he was.
Kin tried to copy what Clarkd did. His movements were still a little stiff but every step was right. Clark told some details so Kin could correct his movement. After half an hour of repeating the same move, Kin and Clark start to look for any monster to continue Kin's training.
Starting from that, Kin's training began. Kin and Clark will go into the forest and look for some monsters so Kin can get fighting experience in the evening. The monsters they are looking for are semi-humanoid monsters with levels 40 to 60. Kin then fought it and after he killed it they discussed what happened and what needed correction. After that, they eat dinner and then sleep, in the morning after breakfast Clark will teach Kin some sword movements and attack patterns for one-handed swords. After his training, they will continue their journey and walk again towards Stolitsa City.
Because of this busy schedule and Kin's enthusiasm to become stronger, he also adjusted the time he logged out of the game and rested in the real world so that his training could be maximized. Fighting against monsters, sleeping, and practicing sword movements, continued their journey to Stolitsa City and the routine repeated itself. This became their routine during their journey.
Because they only traveled to Stolitsa City during the day, the journey, which generally took 7 days, became longer. After 21 days they had not arrived. However, because there is no time limit for completing the quest then they are not in a hurry. But thanks to training with Clark, Kin's fighting movements began to improve. It showed that his level had increased by 10 levels and it became easier for him to kill a monster. Kin felt that these past 3 weeks were the fastest time he developed fighting experience and fighting sense since he started playing SENSES.
