Chapter 12.2

Clark continued to run after the other goblins and managed to stop the other 4 goblins who were running away. Kin approached 2 goblins whose legs were cut by Clark's sword. The two goblins slowly stood up, and Kin immediately drew his sword and lunged at one of them. The goblin tried to thrust his small sword at Kin, but he blocked it with his shield and countered with a slash to the goblin's shoulder and it hit. He followed it up with a slash toward the goblin's chest and leg. Before delivering the final blow, another goblin attacked Kin with a wooden club. Kin stepped back, evading the attack, then Kin stabbed the goblin in the stomach, retracting his sword before using the 'Pierce' skill to impale straight at the goblin's chest. The goblin died and shattered into dust.

Kin then turned to the other goblin, slashing its neck and the goblin shattered into dust.

My training paid off. That was Kin's thought after successfully defeating two goblins. He looked at Clark and it turned out that Clark had killed three goblins. The last remaining goblin was injured but still able to stand while pointing his sword at Clark. It turned and ran. Clark only saw the goblin running away. Kin immediately chased it but Clark stopped him. "Don't chase Kin. Let's follow him and we'll find their lair."

Nodding in agreement, Kin and Clark followed the wounded goblin. Because of its injuries, it moved slowly, allowing them to track it through the forest for several hours. Eventually, they were able to find where the goblin was going. There were very thick trees and several goblins under the trees resting. Among them was a larger goblin, which sits on a rock so it stands out more than the other goblins. Clearly, it was in charge.

The injured goblin reached its companions and pointed toward Kin and Clark's direction. Suddenly the group of goblins stood up and ran towards Kin and Clark. "Let's hide." Clark urged. pulling Kin.

Kin and Clark looked for a tree to hide from the goblins. 12 goblins were running towards them, while there were 10 more waiting along with the big goblins and the injured goblin. These 12 goblins passed by Kin and Clark. Clark pointed at the goblin as a signal to chase the goblins. After trailing the goblins for 15 minutes, Clark drew his sword and ran towards one of the goblins. Kin also drew his sword and attacked the closest goblin to him. Simultaneously Kin and Clark each stabbed right in the back of the head.

The two goblins were unaware of Kin and Clark's attack. It immediately died and shattered into dust.

Kin lost his balance when attacked and he made a sound while he fell. The Goblin who was still running in front of them stopped and looked behind them. Those goblins could see Clark clearly but Kin remained hidden because he was still in a prone position and the grass around him was high enough to cover him. Clark tried to draw the goblins' attention, and he moved away from Kin so that the goblins could not realize Kin's existence. The goblins moved patiently towards Clark and formed a semi-circle with Clark in the middle.

Clark switched his sword from a one-hand sword to a great sword. With his great sword, he started the attack and lunged at one of the goblins. Clark's attack hit one of the goblin's neck and the goblin died. Just as he killed one goblin, three other goblins lunged at him and attacked Clark's back simultaneously. Clark was able to notice their movements but was unable to successfully avoid them all, so a wood club wielded by one of the goblins managed to hit Clark in the back. Using the momentum of the blow, Clark managed to avoid two other goblin attacks. Clark quickly fixed his stand and tried to attack again, but he held his attack because there were no goblins in his reach. The goblins moved in patiently and circled Clark so that he had no way to run.

Kin crawled toward the goblin closest to him. He then got up quickly and immediately stabbed the back of it.

The goblin died but as a result of the attack Kin's position revealed now his existence was known by the other goblins. They screamed very loudly, they scanned the surroundings trying to make sure there was nothing else that could suddenly attack them.

Clark seized the distraction, slashing at another goblin. He swings his greatsword at one of the goblins. The goblin managed to dodge but his hand was still cut off by Clark. The five goblins closest to Clark started attacking him. Clark was able to swiftly avoid or defend the attacks from the goblins.

While Clark was busy holding back five goblins, Kin attacked the goblin its hand had been cut off by Clark. However, Kin's attack was blocked by another goblin, and at that moment another goblin stabbed him from behind. Kin was unable to avoid it but the wound he received was not fatal. Because Kin was being stabbed, the goblin whose hand had been cut off managed to escape, and ran into the forest. Kin tried to ignore that goblin and back focus on two goblins in front of him.

Kin distancing himself from Clark. He continued to move away until only two goblins were left following him while the rest were still fighting Clark. After ensuring no more surprises, Kin prepared his stance and tried to remember the training he had with Clark in the last few days. He tried to slash the head of one of the goblins, but it was blocked. At the same time, another goblin lunged at Kin, but Kin noticed it and succeeded in evading. The goblin lost his balance and Kin quickly took the opportunity to stab it in the stomach.

The goblin was wounded but not defeated. It stepped back and tried to make a distance from Kin. The other goblin lunged at Kin. Kin swiftly blocked the attack by pointing the tip of his sword at its shoulder. His sword pierced through the goblin's shoulder. Kin immediately shifted slightly from his position while pulling his sword until it was pulled out and the goblin fell on the ground. With all his strength, Kin repeatedly slashed the goblin until the goblin died and shattered into dust.

There was one more goblin left. Its stomach had been stabbed by Kin but it could still stand while holding a small sword. Kin waited to see what the goblin in front of him would do. While he waited, Kin checked Clark's condition with the edge of his eye. Currently, Clark is still trying to survive the attacks of five goblins. However, Clark dominated even though he lost in quantity. Some of the goblins that Clark was fighting had been injured.

After feeling a little calm, Kin returned his attention to the goblin in front of him. I have to quickly kill this goblin and help Clark before the other goblins come.

Kin slashed several times at the goblin in front of him but the goblin managed to block the attack. Because Kin's STR was higher than the goblin's, over time the goblin failed to block Kin's attack. Kin's attack slashes the goblin's chest and stomach. Before he had time to enjoy his victory, suddenly Kin heard a thumping sound that seemed to get closer and closer. The ground around Kin vibrated in response to the rhythm of the thumping. Before Kin was able to find the source, his body had flown 100 meters away from where he was.

When he fell he tried to find what hit him. Kin saw abig goblin carrying an ax followed by two other goblins. As a result of theunexpected attack, Kin was stunned and unable to move his body for severalmoments. The group of goblins ignored Kin and walked towards Clark who wasstill fighting against the last two goblins.
