The soft rustling of cherry blossom petals filled the air as they floated gently to the ground, painting the landscape in hues of soft pink and white. Beneath the grand tree at Yokai Academy, Owen sat quietly with Kurumu nestled beside him. Her usual vibrant demeanor was now replaced with a tender, almost nervous energy as she fidgeted with her fingers, stealing glances at Owen's calm expression.

Owen could feel the weight of her gaze but stayed silent, letting her take the lead. He had grown so used to her presence over the past year that her small gestures, her subtle hesitations, all spoke louder than words.

Finally, Kurumu gathered her courage and spoke, her voice soft and filled with emotion. "Owen... I've been thinking..." She paused, her cheeks flushing pink. "This is my final year at Yokai Academy. After I graduate, I... I want to start a new chapter in my life. And I want that chapter to be with you."

Owen blinked, his heart skipping a beat as he looked over at her. He'd felt so strongly about Kurumu for some time now, but hearing her words stirred something deeper inside him.

Kurumu turned to face him fully, her emerald eyes shimmering with hope and vulnerability. "Owen... Will you marry me? I mean, not right now, but after I graduate. I don't just want to be your girlfriend anymore—I want to be your wife."

For a moment, Owen was speechless. His face flushed crimson as the weight of her question sank in. Marriage. It was something he had never really considered before, but now, sitting beside Kurumu, the idea felt right—natural, even.

He smiled softly, reaching out to take her hand in his. "Kurumu... I'd rather be your husband than just your boyfriend. You deserve more than that, and I want to be that for you." His voice was steady, but his heart was racing.

Kurumu's face lit up, her lips curling into a radiant smile before she leaned forward and pressed her lips against Owen's. The kiss was tender, sweet, and filled with promises of a future they were both now ready to build together.

As they pulled apart, the petals continued to swirl around them, dancing in the air as though celebrating the bond they had just solidified.

Meanwhile, on the Rooftop...

Carter stood at the edge of the rooftop, gazing out at the horizon. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm, golden glow across the academy grounds. Behind him, Mizore approached, her steps quiet but purposeful. She had a nervous energy about her, but Carter could feel her presence even before she spoke.

"So..." Mizore began, leaning against the railing beside him, her usual cool demeanor now mixed with uncertainty. "You... You know I like you, right?"

Carter smirked, his gaze still fixed on the distance. "I do." He paused, turning to face her with a soft, yet unreadable expression. "But if you really want to know more about me, Mizore, you're not gonna find it by us just playing boyfriend and girlfriend."

Mizore tilted her head, her icy eyes locking with his. "Then how?"

Carter took a deep breath, letting the moment hang in the air. "I admit it, Mizore. I like you, too." He glanced away briefly, as though searching for the right words. "You remind me of someone... Maria."

Mizore's brow furrowed slightly. "Maria?"

"Yeah. She was like you—strong, independent, and someone who refused to follow the usual path. She was in a harem at first but broke away to follow her own dreams. That decision... It brought her to me. We had something real, but I lost her. The world we live in doesn't always give you happy endings."

Mizore's eyes softened as she listened to Carter's story. She could hear the raw emotion in his voice, the hint of pain he carried.

"But you," Carter continued, his voice growing steadier, "your presence is different. Being around you, hearing your heartbeat, seeing the way you care—it's not something I've felt in a long time. I'd be a fool not to consider marrying someone like you right off the bat."
