"Elodie huh? What was that about?" Noah confronted Sarah as Dennis left the room to make a phone call
"It's not what you think Noah, I can explain" Sarah replied
"Okay, I'm all ears. I'm dying to know how you got to meet Dennis and how you became Elodie overnight"
Sarah explained everything to Noah as she bowed her head in shame. She couldn't believe it was Noah of all people that would find out about her secret. What she dreaded the most had just happened.
"Do you even know what you are doing Sarah? Do you know who you are playing with? Dennis of all people? I've know him for years and if there's one thing Dennis hates the most is when someone deceives or tries to use him. His dad had cancer abc kept it from him, lying to him that it was just a normal sickness till he died, he still blames himself for not paying close attention enough to notice, he's mum constantly tries to use him to secure her position as the Queen Dowager when he becomes King and you who he claims to be his new good friend is doing the same thing?"
"I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking far about this whole thing, I just wanted to get my revenge on Racheal"
"That's what it is to you! Your revenge!! You do not care who you hurt or toes you step on along the way as long as you get your revenge. What makes you different from Racheal huh? I didn't expect this from you Sarah, I... I thought you were different" Noah sounded disappointed
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry" Sarah weeped as she apologized repeatedly, there was nothing she could do now except apologizing.
"I really don't know how it's going to happen but I can't play this game with you I'm sorry and I won't let you keep deceiving him either. So what's it gonna be? Are you going to tell him or you want me to?"
"I started all this, I should end it. It will be best if he hears from me directly, that way I can also apologize to him. I'm sorry Noah"
"You should say that to Dennis not me Sarah. I should leave before he gets back cause I might just slip if I keep staying here. I'll see you some other time"

"You met who?! Noah of all people?!! Oh my God!!!. So what happened next?" Rhoda asked still in shock
"He told me to confess to Dennis"
"Confess? Men cannot be trusted. He likes you, isn't he suppose to help you or at least cover up for you"
"Noah isn't that kind of person. And it's one of the reason why I like and respect him. He's not going to side with you if you are in the wrong no matter your relationship with him. He was the only one who stood up for me back in college whenever Racheal bullied me despite the fact that they were in the same status. I would have been resuscitated from the school over the whole plagiarism incident back then if he didn't help me"
"Okay now that Noah the Saint asked you to confess, are you going to do it?"
"Do I have a choice? That's his best friend. If I don't confess, he's going to tell Dennis anyway. I'm going to ask him to see me tomorrow so I'll tell him everything"
"I can't believe this ended just before it started. I'm sorry Sarah, I'm sure nemesis will catch up with that bitch someday. Dennis doesn't even like her, he might end up ditching her" Rhoda said trying to make Sarah feel better.
"I just texted him. We fixed an afternoon lunch" Sarah said with a deep sigh as she fell on the bed
"You will be fine babe" Rhoda reassured

Next day (Afternoon)
"Hey Noah, I've been trying to reach Dennis all day. We were suppose to meet this afternoon so I could tell him about what we talked about" Sarah said over the phone
"That will have to wait. This is a confidential information okay? The king collapsed this morning so we are all at the hospital right now"
"Oh my God! I hope it isn't something serious?"
"We are still waiting for the doctors. They have been with him all morning"
As they spoke, Sarah could hear a familiar voice protesting in the background
"Who's that? What's with the noise?"
"It's Racheal. She's been here for the past two hours throwing tantrums because we won't let her into the ward"
"Why? Isn't he Dennis' fiancée?"
"Arranged fiancée you mean? Dennis do not recognize her as one. He told us to keep her away from the ward and she won't stop making a scene"
A part of Sarah felt so much joy about what Noah said. Even if she couldn't get her revenge, hearing Racheal's scream of misery gave her satisfaction.
"I'll let you know when he can talk" Noah said
"Please do, thank you" Sarah replied before hanging up
"What's up? Did something happen?"
"Someone got sick in the palace so Dennis can't make it"
"When is it going to be then?"
"Maybe never?" Sarah said with a smirk
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, I'm not going to confess, not now at least. I just heard Racheal's miserable voice over the phone now and ohhh the joy I felt was compared to now. I mean why did it have to be today of all day that someone fell sick at the palace, the day I was suppose to confess. This has to be the universe telling me it isn't over yet. Racheal is going to get what she deserves"
"And what about Noah? If you don't tell him, he will"
"He said it could wait, he didn't specify how long"
"You really want to do that to Noah? He's going to hate you Sarah"
"It doesn't matter. I hate myself already"
Rhoda saw a different Sarah that night. With her eyes filled with determination for revenge, she wore a confident mischievous smile she had never seen.
"The innocent Sarah is gone" Rhoda muttered
