"I can't believe this!" Tanya exclaimed, frustration etched on her face. "Why do I keep working with incompetent people?"

Maurice shifted uncomfortably, his eyes darting around the room. "That...that was all I heard before I hit my head. I had to run quickly so they wouldn't find me."

Juliana's voice was laced with exasperation. "What are you talking about? Sarah? The person you were supposed to follow was Elodie Laurent."

Tanya rolled her eyes, shouldering her bag. "He must have gone to the wrong apartment. What a waste of time!" She said walking away angrily

Juliana turned to Maurice, her tone scolding. "I can't believe you, Maurice. You just embarrassed me. You had just one job."

Maurice's face reddened. "I swear, ma'am, I didn't lose her. I followed her into the building and monitored the apartment she entered."

Juliana's skepticism was palpable. "So, how did Elodie disappear and Sarah appear?"

Maurice hesitated. "The only thing I could hear was 'This is trouble, Sarah!' Then something about 'You're in love with Ed.' Trouble, Sarah, and Ed – that's all I caught."

Juliana shook her head, disappointment written across her face. "Looks like you're the one in trouble, Maurice. Just...go away."

As Maurice slunk away, Juliana muttered under her breath, "Can't believe we lost a good lead like that."

Sarah lay on her bed, lost in thought, replaying Rhoda's words from the previous night.

"Remember why you started this, Sarah. You wanted to make Dennis break off his engagement with Rachael and rub it in her face – that the one person she looks down on the most was the one who did it." Rhoda's voice echoed in her mind.

Sarah's thoughts drifted to Dennis. Maybe it wasn't love yet, but she couldn't deny the flutter in her chest whenever he was near. His kindness and genuine care since their meeting had chipped away at her defenses.

But a nagging doubt crept in. "Would he still care if he knew I wasn't a rich kid, but a poor struggling artist?" Sarah asked herself, her brow furrowed.

With a newfound determination, Sarah cautioned herself: "Keep your head in the game. You can't fall for Dennis; it's not part of the plan."

Resolute, Sarah picked up her phone and sent Dennis a text, inviting him to meet. The almost-shared kiss still lingered in her mind, convincing her that Dennis harbored feelings for her.

"I'll be leaving soon," Sarah, aka Elodie, announced, breaking the brief silence between them.

Dennis's eyes widened. "Oh, did you come with your driver? I could drop you off."

"No, I mean I'm going back to Milands," Sarah clarified.

Dennis's expression changed, surprise etched on his face. "Going back?"

"I told you I was only here for a brief time, remember? I stayed a few more days because I was really enjoying Edton, thanks to you," Sarah said with a smile.

Dennis's face fell. "Can't you stay? Like, a bit longer? I... I could host you if you want," he stuttered, his voice laced with disappointment.

Sarah's eyes softened. "Honestly, I would have loved to stay, but I have a situation back home."

Dennis's curiosity piqued. "What situation is that?"

Sarah's voice turned resigned. "My dad is trying to matchmake me with one of his old friends' sons. We grew up together, and everyone expects us to get married. His family came to propose while I was away, so my dad wants me back home ASAP."
