chapter thirty-one: It begins!!!

Time skip a week ( FIRST DAY OF TEH HUNGER DEANS!!

Mitch's pov (Just saying, he's back in his human form!)

Jerome woke up to the sound of our blaring alarm and I groggily sat up. I rubbed my eyes and yawned and wondered what I had set the alarm clock for. Then it hit me like a brick to the face.(Just thought of something random) Today was the day of the hunger games! I looked over to Jerome, who had fallen back to sleep... woo...Just wow. I rolled my eyes and quickly got out of bed. I jumped in the shower ( I'm not explaining that!) and quickly got out. I put on my jean's, tan shirt, and my checkered hoodie, and ran out of the bathroom. Jerome was still asleep. I jogged over to him and shook him. He immediately woke up and looked at me like I was crazy. "Why did you wake me up at 6:00 in the morning! Let a bacc sleep pls!!" Said Jerome in a husky tone. ". "Oh, ok. I guess you don't want to go to the hunger dean's then." I said in a sarcastic tone. His eyes went wide and he immediately jumped out of bed. "WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP SOONER!!!" He asked. I just rolled my eyes and walked into the kitchen. I started making bacon, eggs, and pancakes for Jerome and I. Eventually, Jerome came running down the stairs yelling, "I SMELL BACON!!!" I laughed at his comment and made him a plate. I made myself a plate and sat next to Jerome. It only took a few minutes to finish our food and I took the dishes to the sink. When I was walking back to Jerome, I heard a knock on the door. I walked over to the door and opened it. On the other side was Adam, Ty, Tyler, Seto, Brice, and Jason. "OH, hey guys! Why are you here?" I asked in a confused tone. Jerome came up behind me and waved to th guys. "We wanted to wish you guys luck in the hunger games! Plus we got bored!" Adam said in a cheery tone. "Ok, well come in!" Jerome said from behind me. They all walked in and sat on the couch's in the living room, all except for Seto. Seto walked up to me and whispered, "Follow me, I want to give you something." I nodded and followed him into the kitchen. I leaned up against the counter and Seto was messing with something in his cloak pocket. "So, what did you want to tell me, or give me?" I asked. He took a golden dog tag out of his pocket and held it out so I could see. "I wanted to give you this! It can track other contestants and tell you how close they are to you!" He handed me the dog tag and I put it on. "Thank you so much Seto. I can't thank you enough."I said. I gave him a hug and he hugged back. We sepereted and walked back into the living room. When we entered, I saw Jerome with a very happy look on his face. I sat next to him on the couch and looked at him like he was a phycopath. "What's got you so happy?" I asked. "Oh! Adam just gave me these things that we can use in the games to talk to each other if we get split up!" He said in a happy tone. He held out two ear peices, one for me, and one for him."That's awesome Biggums! Thank you guys so much, for everything!" I said. They all had smiles plastered onto their faces and said their 'your welcome's' to us. I looked at the clock and my eyes widened. We had to be at the arena at 8:00, and it was 7:40! "Jerome! We have to go! NOW!!!" I almost yelled out. Jerome looked at the clock, then back at me, nodding like a mad man. We dashed out the door, with the guys hot on our tail. We all got into our cars and started driving to our destination. The arena.

TIME SKIPZ OF LE BUDDER KING!!

We finally made it to the arena and parked the car. The guys all got out of their cars, including us. They all walked up to us and engulfed us in one giant hug. "Good luck guys, we'll miss you!!" Said Ty who was on the verge of tears. They let us go and Jerome and I walked into the huge arena. We signed-in and walked to the area we had to go to. This hunger games was different from all the others. In this one, Jerome and I would be able to team up and go home together. We put our ear pieces in and made sure that they wouldn't fall out. "You ready for this Biggums?" Jerome asked me in a caring tone. "As ready as i'll ever be" I said. Jerome gave me a peck on the lips and we went our seperate ways to our podiums. In a matter of minutes, the podiums were rising and we were in the middle. It was full of weapons, different food items, and armor. I looked around the circle for Jerome and spotted him straight across from me.  I pressed a button on my ear piece and heard Jerome's soothing voice come through. "When the timer goes down to zero, book it to the middle and grab anything you can get your hands on, ok." He asked. "Got it! When you run out of the middle, go to the clock tower straight behind you, hokeyp?" I asked. "Yea buddy, see you then!" He said with that gorgeous voice of his. There was 10 seconds left on the count down. My heart was racing. Here we go

It's go time. I ran to the middle as fast as I could run and got a stone sword and iron leggings. A person ran up behind me and tried attacking me with a wooden sword but ended up getting killed by the one and only, Benja. I couldn't see Jerome anywhere, so I knew that he was already at the clock tower. I ran as fast as my legs would let me go so no one would spot me still in the middle. I got to the clock tower in a matter of minutes and spotted Jerome leaning up against the side of the building. He saw me running to him and started running to me as well. We engulfed eachother in a hug, never wanting to let go. When we seperated, we were both out of breath, so we ended up walking in the forest, looking for chests to get some loot. We ended up finding only one chest and all it had in it was leather leggings and a few apples. Jerome got the leggings and I got half of the apples. He got the other half. I thought I heard footsteps but just pinned it off as Jerome's footsteps. Jerome stopped dean in his tracks and looked like he could hear the footsteps as well. I turned around and saw a person with her bow drawn back, pointing straight at us. She let the arrow fly and I pushed Jerome out of the way. I felt a sharp pain in my stomach and heard Jerome scream my name. I looked down and saw the arrow sticking out of my stomach. The girl had run away and was no where to be seen. I saw the warm crimson liquid start pouring out of my stomach slowly. I tried standing up but ended up in more pain than I was already in. Jerome picked my up bridal style and ran to the biggest tree in the area and climbed up to the sturdiest branch. He set me down gentally and took his suit jacket off. "Mitch,this is going to hurt, so just get ready for some major pain, ok?" Jerome asked in a soft and worried tone. I nodded my head slightly and squeezed my eyes shut. I screamed in pain as he pulled the arrow out. I opened my eyes and saw Jerome tearing up his suit jacket to make it almost like a bandage. He lifted my shirt up just enough for him to see my stomach and wrapped the 'bandage' around the wound. Jerome took a bottle with red colored liquid out of his inventory but I turned my head a little signalling that i wouldn't drink it. "Just drink it, it's just a healing potion, all it's going to do is stop the bleeding." He held it up to my lips and I slowly drank it. When the bottle was empty, he put everything back in his inventory and stood up on the branch. He helped me stand up and I noticed how high we were. Jerome picked me up and jumped out of the tree. He landed on his feet perfectly and put me down. "You ok to walk Biggums?" He asked in a worried tone. "Yeah, i'm fine now." I said. "Ok, then lets keep looking for some loot." He said with his calming voice. I nodded my head and we were off to look for some chests.
