"My little man is so handsome! I swear I wish I could take him to work. My co workers would love him."
Ace gushed as she was holding AJ and feeding him his bottle. I smiled and looked up at her.
"Let's see if he's still equally as cute when he turns two years old and is getting into everything. I heard the term terrible two's is a real thing."
"He's always gonna be cute, don't worry. I gotta get going though, speaking of work. You gonna be okay being alone with Junior for the first time?"
"I will be perfectly fine. Chrisean is coming over anyways. I love you, have a good day at work."
I stood up from our bed and took AJ from Ace's arms, giving Ace a kiss on her lips. She kissed me back and then gave AJ a kiss on his forehead.
"I love you both. Have fun with Chrisean."

"He is just so cute! I'm so in love with my nephew already, I swear."
Chrisean cooed as she held AJ tightly in her arms, kissing all over his face. Blue stood over Chrisean and started looking at AJ.
"Aye, lil man. This your uncle Blue. I'm about to teach you all the ratchet shit. You gon be hanging around uncle Blue, and getting all the bitches —"
"Blue!"
Chrisean cut him off. We both started to laugh and Blue raised his eyebrows.
"Whattt? It's true."
"He's named Ace Jr for a reason. I'm pretty sure he'll get all of those tips from Ace."
"Yeah, you right. When are yah planning on getting married?"
"Ace and I were looking for this upcoming January. So, six months. She just wants to get a few more things in order first. When are you and Chrisean planning on getting married?"
"Who said I was getting married to this nigga? He be getting on my damn nerves most of the time!"
"But you love me though, so it don't matter."
Blue kissed Chrisean's head then sat down next to her on the couch.

Ace usually got out of work at nine o'clock. By the time it was ten thirty, Ace still wasn't home, so I started growing concerned. AJ had just fallen asleep, so I couldn't leave the house to go search.
I decided to call Kaydence to see if she knew anything.
"You good, Tesehki? You calling me kinda late."
"I'm sorry. I was just calling to see if you heard from your sister. She usually gets off at nine, and she still hasn't gotten home."
"Nah, we haven't talked today. I can try to call her and let you know."
"If you can, please. I'm gonna try to call Duce, they work together."
"Aight. I'll let you know if I hear anything."
"Thank you, Kayden."
I hung up the phone and started to call up Duce. She answered after almost four rings.
"Yo, wassup?"
"Hey, Duce. Have you heard or seen anything from Ace at all? She still hasn't gotten home from work. You guys worked together today, right?"
"I thought Ace took an extra day off to spend time with you and Junior?"
"What do you mean? Ace left this morning for work. I've been waiting for the last hour and a half for her to get home."
"Ace never made it in this morning. I just took over for the day last minute because she's the boss, so I just thought she said fuck it and didn't wanna come in today. Have you tried calling Kaydence to see if she's heard anything?"
I froze up, and my heart just dropped into my ass. What the fuck is going on? Is Ace cheating on me? Did something bad happen? If she needed help, why didn't she try to call me?
"I called Kaydence, she hasn't heard anything. Are you sure you're not joking with me, Duce? You know I start freaking out with shit like this."
"I wouldn't lie to you. She seriously never made it in this morning."
"I'm gonna try to call her again. Please just let me know if you hear anything."
I quickly hung up the phone with Duce, then trying to call Ace for like the tenth time.
"Please, baby, please pick up..."
"Aye, this is Big Ace. Never the little one. I can't get to the phone right now. But if you leave your name and number, I'll be sure to hit you back. Thanks."
I started to panic. I had to go out and search, do something. I couldn't just sit here and do nothing. I hurried and called Chrisean. When she picked up the phone, she sounded as if she was asleep.
"Hey, Sehki. What's up?"
"Can you please come back here and watch Junior for me? Please? It's an emergency."
"Yeah, of course. What happened though?"
"Ace still hasn't came home. So I called Kaydence, she hasn't heard anything. I called Duce, she said Ace never even made it to work. I don't know what else to do. I don't know if she's okay, I don't know anything. I just need you to come watch AJ so I can try to go out and search for her, please.."
"Okay, okay, I'm coming. I'll bring Blue with me so he can go out and search with you, too."
