"Rodriguez, you have visitors."
One of the guards came into my cell to get me. Man, it's been so fucking long in this bitch, I done lost track of how long I've been in here. Everyone tells me it's been four years.
Never did I mean to attack Tesehki the way that I did. I was just going through so much at the time, my mental was everywhere. I was devastated that she wanted to leave me during a time like that.
Throughout the last four years, I've been able to get the therapy that I needed. I'm still dealing with my trauma, but it's better than where I was four years ago.
I haven't been able to see AJ since that day that everything happened, but I see Aaliyah every week, two times a week. Kehlani brings her to visit me, surprisingly.
Making my way to the visitation room, I seen Aaliyah and Kehlani sitting at our usual table. I smiled as I sat across from them.
"Look at my baby. It seems like you're getting more tall every week that I see you."
"Stop lying, mama. I'm the same size I always am."
Aaliyah chuckled and smiled brightly as she kept her eyes on me. I smiled and then looked at Kehlani.
"How are you today, Keh?"
"I'm fine. And you?"
"I'm great now."
"Mama, is it true that you'll be out next week? Aunty Kay told us that at AJ's birthday party."
Aaliyah questioned me. I started to smile and nodded slightly.
"It's a very strong possibility. I have a court date tomorrow. If they agree to let me out, I'll be out on house arrest next week. Which means I'll still be in jail, I just have to stay in the house. Or I'll get in trouble and have to come back here."
"Really?!"
"You know I would never lie to you, baby girl."
"Yay! That's great!"
"I know, right. How is your brother though? Is he being good?"
"Sometimes he's bad. He's really funny, he's getting tall, too."
"That's great. I can't wait to see him, I miss that boy so much. How's Tesehki doing?"
"She's good. She has a friend named Jordan. She's annoying, though. She always follows Sehki around, and Sehki doesn't seem to like her that much."
Aaliyah informed me. I laughed and shook my head, looking over at Kehlani.
"That's true?"
"You know your daughter never lies to you. She's telling you the truth."
"Ha. Once I get out of here, we already know that's not gonna last."
"That's really none of my business."
Kehlani shrugged and looked away from me. I looked back at Aaliyah.
"Look, when I get home, you can come over and we can do whatever you want. We just have to stay in the house."
"Really?!"
"Of course, baby. Whatever you want, we can do."
"Can AJ come, too?"
"I would love for him to. You have to ask Tesehki, though. She might listen to you more than she'll listen to me."
"Maybe you're right. I'll ask her."
"Great."

After visitation with Aaliyah and Kehlani, I was allowed to go outside to the courtyard for a half an hour. Within ten minutes of being out there, a person came up to me that looked very familiar...
"Wassup, Ace. Long time, no see. I didn't think I would ever see you again."
Siya. The bitch who set me up to get killed in the first place.
"Why would I have anything to say to you? Do you know how much trouble that you've caused in my life? You're apart of the reason why I'm even in here."
"I know that. As soon as I heard you got transferred over here, I just had to come take the chance to come talk to you."
"And again, why would I have anything to say to you? You ruined my entire life."
"And again, I'm just tryna take the chance to apologize. Setting you up like that for nothing was beyond fucked up. I shouldn't have ever done that. I should've just accepted that I was never going to have anything that you had. Whether it was money, or Tesehki. Just anything I wish I had."
"It's no problem anymore, Siya. I'm just trying my best to get over it. Move on from it."
"Same. Before I let you go, I just have one more thing."
"What is it?"
That's when I suddenly felt multiple sharp pains shoot straight through my chest, everything around me turning into darkness.
The last thing I heard were screams coming from all over....
