The next day, Izuku found himself back in school, still buzzing with the excitement of his newfound quirk. His mind raced as fast as his feet, thinking about all the possibilities his new power opened up. Could he really become a hero now? The thought made his heart swell with hope.

But the school day couldn't go by without trouble, especially when Bakugo Katsuki, his childhood friend-turned-bully, was involved.

"Oi, Deku!" Bakugo barked, stomping toward him during recess. His explosive personality was on full display as his hands crackled with small bursts of his quirk. "I heard you were at the quirk doctor yesterday. What, did they tell you you're even more useless than we thought?"

Izuku froze for a moment, his usual nervousness around Bakugo creeping back in. But then he remembered—he wasn't quirkless anymore. His fear melted away as confidence swelled within him.

"Come on, Deku! Answer me!" Bakugo growled, raising a hand as if to shove Izuku. He was used to his former friend freezing up whenever he taunted him.

But this time, Izuku moved. Fast.

In an instant, Izuku darted out of the way, his body a blur of motion. Bakugo blinked, his hand hitting nothing but air as Izuku reappeared a few feet behind him, standing with a calm smile on his face.

Bakugo whipped around, eyes wide with confusion. "W-what the heck? How did you—?"

Izuku chuckled softly, feeling the rush of speed in his veins. He couldn't help but tease Bakugo a little. After all, it was a taste of his new confidence. "You're too slow, Kacchan."

Bakugo's face twisted in anger, his fists sparking with small explosions. "What did you say, Deku?!"

Before Bakugo could lunge at him, Izuku sped around him again, this time circling Bakugo several times in the blink of an eye. He stopped behind him, laughing lightly. "I said, you're too slow!"

Bakugo spun around again, trying to keep up, but Izuku was always one step ahead, moving faster than Bakugo could react. Bakugo's frustration boiled over, explosions crackling from his palms. "Stop running, you dang nerd!"

Izuku grinned, finally feeling a sense of control he had never experienced before. He had always admired Bakugo's power and confidence, but now he wasn't afraid anymore. "Maybe you should catch me first!" he teased, dashing just out of reach.

Bakugo, furious, tried to blast at Izuku, but every time he made a move, Izuku was already gone, dodging effortlessly. It was like watching Bakugo swing at shadows.

A crowd of kids began to gather, watching the spectacle with wide eyes. "Whoa! Look at Deku go! How is he moving so fast?"

Bakugo gritted his teeth, the humiliation starting to set in. He wasn't used to being outclassed, especially not by Izuku. "Since when did you get a quirk, Deku?!" he shouted, panting with frustration.

Izuku slowed down, finally stopping just a few feet away from Bakugo. His breathing was calm, his heart racing with the thrill of victory. "It doesn't matter when. What matters is I'm not the same Deku anymore, Kacchan."

Bakugo glared, his fists still sparking, but he knew better than to keep trying. For the first time, Izuku had the upper hand, and Bakugo hated it.

"You haven't seen the last of this, Deku!" Bakugo snarled, storming off, his pride clearly wounded.

Izuku watched him go, his smile fading slightly. He hadn't meant to humiliate Bakugo, but something inside him told him that this was only the beginning. He was going to prove, not just to Bakugo, but to everyone, that he wasn't just "Deku" anymore.

He was fast. He was determined. And one day, he would be a hero.
